How much Power do we have here
Games like Kentucky Cash Ball with fixed payoffs could easily sell 10 cent tickets with a minimum $1 bet. For a $1 you get 10 chances to win $20,000 compared to 1 chance to $200,000. It would be more difficult with jackpot games like PB and MM. It might be interesting when 10% of the jackpot was won and the other 90% is applied to the next drawing. Actually I wish I was in charge of a Lottery Commision lol. I got some ideas. The problem with presenting new types of games and bets are the

Do YOU know any lottery winners personally?
Yeah, I do. Actually, I know two people that won a lottery jackpot, but their stories arent as good as you might think. Their stories arent bad stories, but neither person is wealthy beyond their wildest dreams. The first guy was a former co-worker. As best I can recall, he netted $72,000 playing NY's Take5. The win came at a perfect time for him. He had made an offer on a house, and it had been accepted. The closing had yet to happen when he won, so after he won, he called the bank and said

2nd chance drawings...
Ditto, Yes, something strange is occuring with whatever algorithm in use to pull out the winning ticket numbers. A couple of guys that won 2x each in Drawing 1 for the Magic both won yet again.... 2x each in Drawing 3 Now I dont care that much about a few trinkets and I'd rather have any ticket cash prize but I do like the Magic and entered my non-winning tickets hoping even for the lowest prize.... a shirt. What in the world does that one person who won 5x want to do with 10 shirts and 5

2nd chance drawings...
I haven't seen an overall 2nd chance in FL yet, but I've only been playing for a couple months. I have seen where certain tickets are offering a 2nd chance that is related to that ticket. For example, the NBA Orlando Magic $5ticket I have starated to play has 2nd chance. Prizes are Orlando Magic tickets, Fan merchandise etc. NFL did it too, I played NFL Dolphins tickets but didn't win anything. I wasn't going to play NBA but I do like the Magic and want to get game tickets/merchandise, I

$330 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot nears record high
i am well aware of jack , but my case against buying more tickets to increase one's odds are easily backed up.... when was the last time you heard of anyone (besides one person) stating during their acceptance speech that they played anything much beyond even $5 ? the lottery has been around a long time, and the news stories are archived at LP. you would be hard pressed to find very many at all that won after buying more than $5 in tickets. if this multiple ticket approach actually

Lucky and unlucky Scratch-off ticket numbers
Thanks. I also won [$4 #295] and a [free ticket #299] on these, at a different store. The following were losers: 294, 296, 297, 298. I read somewhere else in this post, I believe, that they put out more winners when a game is new, to get the word out, so that folks will play that game. I bought 2 more of the same ticket, #272 and #273 when I went to cash in the winner. Those were both losers. Has it been your experience that there are multiple winners in the same book? Or would I be better to

What's with NY Sweet Million??
Yeah, I buy my tix in a lot of different stores. I've bought tickets in so many lotto joints that I cant possibly tell you how many. It has to be well over 100, maybe even 200. When I'm out of town (but still in New York) I make it a point to look for a lottery sign in a convenience store window. I've bought upstate, down state, Long Island and everwhere in between. I always buy when I'm in Manhattan, but I'm not down there too much lately. I live in Dutchess County so I ride Metro-North to get

$75,000 Crossword Illinois $5 scratch off
I have been having a lot of luck lately with this ticket. In January of this year I won $1000, got 7 words on each grid($500 x 2) I've won at least 4 $100 prizes on the past 3 months. AND in April I got 9 words in the second grid and won $10,000! Was in shock when I saw that. Then there have been times where I have bought multiple tickets in a row and did not win a thing. I think it's a matter of being in the right place at the right time and getting the right ticket!

Store clerk accused of stealing $1M lottery ticket from customer
You would be surprised how many people don't check their tickets; I've had people ask me what the MM numbers were on a date two months ago. Another problem is people watch the drawings and write down the numbers as they are drawn and believe their numbers must be in the same order. We wonder how they can do that but they don't play very often and there are games where the numbers must be in the exact order. Some people buy MM and PB tickets without knowing there are secondary prizes and/or th

What do you prefer
I immediately cast my vote for scratch (rip) offs because the few I did buy years ago made me feel as though I was just exchanging legal tender for worthless paper that dirtied my car (the grey scratch off stuff). Had a few small dollar winners for a string, but I saw those as just a way to rope one into buying yet another scratch off that would be worthless. From time to time, you hear about the person who purchased the big winner using the proceeds of a small dollar winner, but that story has
