No, unfortunately I haven't had any sort of substantial win that large but if I ever do, I would definitely rather take the lump sum if given the choice. That way, I have all of my money up front and can invest it as I see fit. Therefore, I am earning the interest on my money (don't want the other company holding my money to get the interest as is the case of the daily/weekly/fortnightly/monthly option) and can still set myself/family up for life.

Best of luck to all that play on this website . In Massachusetts lottery fever is still running pretty good here. I always see it as the more you could win long term the more you could give locally or nationally over time. I live a pretty simple life and would travel to make wonderful memories and help locally as I see the country. Would definitely claim through a trust or llc to keep it anonymous as possible.

I agree with everything you mentioned! I just would like that opportunity if they allow me to win it. I've been playing for 20 years. That part is puzzling but he will not do any jail time for this. He will figure out a way to make restitution. His life isn't ruined either over it. The publicity didn't help but his intention was to always win enough to cover the card but then again how would he explain it to his boss. It would have been a career ender there but that would be about it. So making restitution will get the jail threat dropped.
