$19M N.J. Lottery jackpot goes unclaimed
It doesn't seem right that the state keeps unclaimed prizes, it should go right into a special prize pool to be awarded at the next opportunity. Keeping the prizes when your job is to award prizes would only fuel conspiracy that there really aren't winners. In Willy Wonka there were five Golden Tickets out there and five people showed up. Not four, with Willy keeping the last ticket to himself. That guy knew how to run a contest. Is Gene Wilder still alive?

Neural Networks
I would think software using a neural network to reduce the number pool size by half and still have all the winning numbers 80% of the time would be more useful. The way Lotto Sorcerer works, you can't tell if it really has a neural networks or just a formula for picking hot and cold numbers because it suggests the same mix for all pick5 or pick6 games.

Curse of the Lottery
some people look down on lottery players and wont give them money to play in a pool but if they ever win they will be the first ones with their hands out like they deserve money or you owe them just because you didnt work 50 years at a regular job to earn the millions you won in a lottery. i wont have a problem saying no to most people when my jackpot time comes around...

Vancouver lottery winner loses in divorce case
If the CA woman had won herself (instead of as part as an office pool), kept it quiet and then divorced her husband (and waited the six months to become final) BEFORE cashing in her lotto ticket - Would that have been a better plan in what she was trying to do/get away with?

Have you noticed?
Woot! FirstPost. Hi all members. Great stuff you guys share (I'vebeen fishing info for a while here:)
Hey KY Floyd, my thougths on exploiting that small pattern is as follows:
First thing above all to do is to create a number pool.(Seriously huge amount of work though, it will nullify a huge number of tickets that you might have played)
Now the goods.
DELETE(Don't use) the Unique combinations.
Just foggettabout' using those because the stats show they pop up very r

Curse of the Lottery
i have asked my friends and family for years to form a lottery pool with me and they always decline and tell me im wasting my money. one friend actually said, i wont give you any money to buy tickets but ill help you spend it. im sure i will bring that comment up to him after i win the lottery and if he finds out that i won and asks me for money ill refresh his memory that he chose not to add any money and he had a snide remark to follow...

friday the 13th
I don't believe any of that. In fact on Friday, I bought Powerball and Lotto tickets for the pool I run at work, and one of the Powerball tickets won $4. Perhaps it wasn't bad luck after all.

DE Scratch-Off Slip-Ups
I actually like, nay I love, games with low top prizes because they, typically, put all of the prize pool into prizes that are winnable. However, I have no idea how winnable DE's tickets are becuase they don't list the odds, which is beyond bogus.

would you play in a jackpot pool
thanks for the answers.a lot of times i do these polls is to gauge how others would do.it doesn't mean that i would or wouldn't do something but most of the time i'm interested in others perceieve these things.a lot of times i might do something and then see a certain answer it could change my mind.after thinking about it more i'd rather just buy my own ticket and take it all for myself instead of maybe having trouble in a pool if someone gets disgruntled down the line....
