There is a lesson to be learnt here. If you are going to pool with friends, family or foe always have everything in writing and signed by all parties. Maybe because not every state has a group claim or pool form and those that do vary including having to fill it out and file it before playing, and everyone shares evenly. Check with your lottery web site, call the office, if you get someone that only thinks they know the answer ask for someone who actually knows and get a copy. Is there a way to calculate at which point it's no longer worth buying more tickets? What we do in the office is that when MA Megabucks (pick 6 of 42, jackpot odds 1 in 5,245,786) gets high, we pool our money for some tickets. Just venturing a guess, it looks to me like the results from the Gail Howard B Chart. Taking the numbers from the last ten draws and wheeling them. That part of the theory works in the sense all five numbers come up in less then 59 numbers in the last ten draws often enough to be interesting.
