Would you spend $10 Million on a home.
Absolutely. I think the older you get, not only is it less important to try to outdo the Joneses, a house of that size would require a lot of time, effort and upkeep, even if you had a staff. Seems like too much of a bother to have in your senior years.
That being said, Judge Judy built her dream home a couple years ago for $40 million. Of course, part of why it cost so much is because she had it built in under 4 months, by a builder who specializes in expediting mansions. The crews work aro

Would you spend $10 Million on a home.
You could make it work and if that's what someone really wants then it's their money. With investing, you need to be raking in at least 3% just to keep up with inflation. So you need to make way more over that to have actual spending money on top of the growth to keep up with inflation.Keeping it in a savings/money market/CD is very safe (super low risk) but also you're losing money each year because inflation rate is higher than the interest earned in those accounts. Also certain investments yo

So really...Why can't money buy you happiness??
100% agree with Masone on this.
Money can't buy happiness with my lot in life, but I am already happy. Maybe not so secure financially, but money can solve that for sure. Money can't buy love, but I have plenty of love from my kids, parents, sisters, four legged critters. Money cannot buy my family, and from what I hear often on this board, I am lucky to have the family that I have.
Money will buy the things I'd like to have now cannot afford, but not that I can't live without. I have eve

Litigation Proofing your lottery pool
Paris, Texas is wonderful this time of year! Motel rates are a bit pricey, but you can get a good deal if you're staying for the week.
IF the jackpot annuity is at 100m, the cash value would be around 64m. After you divided it up, it won't quite be a million dollars. Of course, if you charge them for gas, mileage, entertainment fees (your car radio) for the drive to the lottery headquarters, you may be able to close that gap. This is also assuming that your pool is the sole winner of the

Litigation Proofing your lottery pool
That is the other hassle with people who are not consistenly in the pool.
I am very careful to look at the last participant list and only include those names with the ticket bought with winnings.
These people may only have their name on the $20 ticket sheet, but they get a copy of all tickets with their name excluded.
I list everyone alphabetically and the other 45 players know, and that person knows everyone knows they are excluded.
Thanks

Litigation Proofing your lottery pool
Taking your friends winnings to pay for your gas and lunch?
Whoa.
And buying personal tickets too?
You run the kind of pool everybody here warns people not to join.
And for good reason.

Cali Powerball players: How much wagering for first draw?
To me, both games will be about the same: 50% return, extremely hard to win 1-in-175M jackpot games, with return of 5-10% during typical play, so you don't want to play much of it.
Both MM and PB are pari-mutuel in CA, like all other draw games. On the surface, it seems like we are getting shafted on 5+0. But the trick is the amount rolls over so that prize on MM is often higher than $250,000 and will probably often times be higher than $1,000,000 on PB.
It all evens out over the long run.

My system works.
I will. I have a lot going on with my lottery pool now, and want to make sure i generate the best numbers possible, if people are going to trust me to help them win big.
But one more quick tip... if you look at the winning line numbers, you should split each number into two groups (high and lows) that would be the the 2nd number in a two digit number, and the single number it's self if that is what was drawn. split them in groups (0to4 is low) and (5-9 are the high number group.)
You will
