Winning at NY Take 5
The numbers were especially lousy last nite. They had a group didtribution of 4-0-1 (based upon 3 groups of 13 each). On average, that distribution appears only once every 62 days because the coverage is less than 1%. (9,295 possible combo's are in that distribution out of a total pool of 575,757 possible combo's of 5 numbers.) Yet there were three winners with only ONE being a QP. Lately the JP payouts have been awful. Last nite 3 people each won $26,893 before taxes. If you look at the N

Why Do Mathematicians Consider The Lottery Random
...you can't dispute the simple fact that my friend does have a 65% edge in the main pool. I thought Boney526 did a very good job of explaining how your friend could be ahead as you say, but through chance, not the system. You must mean something different than what gambler's refer to as an edge. Most state lotteries have a 50% edge over the players. Casinos have a 5.26% edge over players of roulette. Offshore lotteries have a 10% edge over you and your friend in Pick-4. Casinos are accusto

P-3 Pyramid system
Tonight's NJ was 540 - it was in my secondary pairs. I seemed to do very well when I used to play - but even if I was beating the odds, it wasn't enough to make up for the 50% edge against you. But just so you know, according to the guy who inspired the method - the less draws the better, you want to catch short term trends, and forget about as much of the past as possible. It's more about seeing what is happening - not what has happened. It's kind of hard to explain, since you've obviou

Mathematics and the Lottery
Come on you guys, jking has a nice post going here and many would benefit from his methods. I think he is taking a logical approach to systematic play and most systems don't follow this sort of logic. What he is doing in a nutshell is reducing the pool step by step using filters that he can predict with some certainty. This is the same thing in theory that I was doing with the digit system. By selecting a few digits and blocking a few others and setting limits on a few of those t

Lucky lottery lady outed as Stanford University statistics PhD
I suppose if it's not random enough, then you could find patterns with smallrt samples of data, I was sort of assuming it is random, but that would probably change state by state, if any states are random. I always assumed they have a batch of say, 14 million computerized tickets, and a random number generator picks from them when are ordered by stores, and the digital tickets are printed out and sent off. If they decide to add more, they can easily do so, without the need to print them

Help for my 6/49 game, from clever lottery post members
Hallo again: Today- after many days without succeeding anything- I have got, with a new method, to succeed 5 (from 6) numbers of a pool of 22 numbers. What happened?: 0 successes!!!=0 euros This it is the problem of playing more than 15 numbers. Though you succeed 5 ,or more, numbers, playing only 24 bets, it is very difficult to win. I ll never play big pools with more than 15 numbers.

The No-System System
That's not true. I lived in L.A. and it wasn't that expensive. There are areas you can live, and I don't mean the ghetto, that are reasonable and cost around 7 or 8 hundred bucks a month. If i can make $3,000 a month, and save 12 or 14 hundrd of that a month, I can have my 10 grand in about 8 months. I really don't care how long it takes. I have a goal and I'm sticking with it. Also, I'm moving in with my sister until I get on my feet with no rent for at least a month or so, and then plan on sha

Prize pool Structure
Its a local game we want to turn into a lottery pick one (1) game. A person will pick(play) one card e.g. ace of spades and we will draw one out of fifty-two (52) cards if that drawn card is ace of spades the person will win a top tier prize and if another ace example ace of hearts is drawn then they will win the bottom tier prize. I need to know how the prize pool will work out? what will be the value of different prize amounts? etc.?
