The chances of predicting 1 digit right out of 10 maybe are about 10% And maybe 20% of getting 1 digit right out of 2 predicted ones, if there is a pool of 10 possible digits. ------------------ But if there are 10 possible digits, there might be a 90% chance of predicting 1 digit that might not come out on the very next draw. And that would reduce the total pick 3 straight numbers to fewer than 800 from the 1000. And guessing 2 No Come digits would reduce the total 1000 to almost

Why do people try to pick numbers...
Well said rcbbuckeye! I prefer to choose my own numbers for among other reasons because I just don't like the combos QP's come up with. I agree that most people are just in the game so to speak . Everyone I know who plays the lottery is more concerned that they have their ticket(s) for the upcoming drawing than what their actual numbers are. There is also a very small group of people at my work who play in a Lotto Pool.......LOL let's just say I know the person who buys the tickets very

I discovered a new filter, I don't know if anybody else has already discovered it or not.
Yes, I didn't base that on any known system, years ago for quite some time, I was trying to develop new filters and I got this idea, but I don't remember if I ever posted about it or not, maybe I kept it to myself, as I have done with many other ideas, but now I thought that it was the right time to post about this particular filter idea and so I did. I might have told about before, but didn't see much use for doing that since back then, nobody would put it into a filtered wheeler, now somebo

Cool? Sometimes My lists are very confusing and I should state things more clearly... When I really feel good about a missing single digit that has a high skip value I pair it with the missing combinations from the out draw list for greater effectivness.. 3 and 7 HAVE TO POP...which is why I pulled those missing combinations with the missin/due 3 and 7... Keep in mind that I play a LARGER pool of #'s to cover the odds.. !

So the question should be, if you could, what state would you pool your money with Apples and oranges. Anyone with a clue understands that states that sell more tickets are more likely to produce winners, but that doesn't do anything at all to give individual tickets a better chance than tickets sold in states with small populations. Pooling your money with a state is like pooling your money with any other group that won't be sharing with you if they win a prize. As for the original ques

Jackpot Chasers
Its one of those what if questions: However if you live in the state of New York, their average lottery sales are about 5.75 million per draw. They average 1.4 -5+0 winners every draw and 1 jackpot win every 18.4 draws in 2009, so if one of those 5.75 million dollars is yours, this is what might happen. If you live in california your average sales there is 4.25 million per draw. They average 1.1-5+0 winners every draw and 1 jackpot every 35.5 draws..... So the question shoul

Time to post my PB logic:
Taking any p5 game (or the main sequence in PB/MM): Using a 36/5 game as an example There is a pool size (P) = 36, and a draw size (D) = 5 The random odds of picking a number to eliminate, and having it not fall are (P-D)/P Have you or anyone else found a way to reliably eliminate one number, at a higher percentage than this?
