Vancouver to host 2010 Winter Games
Obviously awarding the Olympic Games itself has nothing to do with lottery, but, ultimately, the British Columbia lottery, if not all Canada, will be offering Olympic-themed games.

Quirks in your state lottery
The British Columbia lottery, which ran a Pick-3 game for about 12 years, never drew 666 either.

Age for working in a lotto booth
I've been seeing many lotto booths having young teenagers (about 15-17 years old) working for them and selling lottery tickets. Now over here in British Columbia the legal age of buying a lottery ticket is 19 years or older.
I'm just wondering, how old do you have to be in order to work in a lottery ticket centre and if it's illegal for these teenagers to be selling lottery tickets?

Lottery Witness
The reason they video tape the draw and bring in the host later is five lottery regions use the video in their own way. The one hosted in the studio is done for British Columbia, Loto Quebec takes the raw video and cuts it down to fit into their French lottery stuff, Ontario uses parts of it to use on its webdraws. Because of the time constraints and procedures they still do it this way since Lotto 649 was launched in 1982. Sales information is for draws reconsilation, it proves that every lotte

Questions for Lottery Official
I will be travelling to British Columbia, Canada, in a couple of days for a week of vacation (downhill skiing). A friend of mine out there knows a lottery official (works in the audit department of the BC lottery). I will probably get a chance to meet him (may also be skiing) and will hopefully be able to ask him all kinds of lottery related questions. He probably knows a lot of the inside scoop.Post your questions here. I will collect them all before I leave and hopefully will return with some

Improvements to the jackpot history pages
I just finished installing significant improvements to the jackpot history page for each game, with expanded statistical information, native currencies (for non-US dollar jackpots), and US dollar equivalents.
The Jackpot History page for a game can be viewed by clicking on the game, and then selecting Jackpot History from the popup menu.
For example, here is the Mega Millions Jackpot History page: https://www.lotterypost.com/game/45/jackpot
Here are some examples of some non-US Dollar g

how did RNG start and when did it spread to other states?
The RNG craze did not start in the US, but in British Columbia. They've been using computers since about 1986. I think the first US lottery to use computers was California, followed by Nebraska, both started in 1995. It's been downhill ever since.

Good State Lottery websites
Considering some problems with some official state websites I was wondering what official websites would people here consider good and what they look for in a website. I'd expect any state to have some basics:
Game rules/how to play
Daily results that are updated on the same day and are 99% accurate with mistakes being corrected soon.
Any specials or promotions they are having plus current scratch offerings.
Past drawing information going back at least 3 years with jackpot informatio

What's the Purpose of the Printed Time of Purchase on Tickets, If Drawing is 15 min to 1 hr Later?
Stat$talker, So I want to clarify something with you. I was not intending to criticize your style of writing with uppercase words and exclamation marks. You're your own person. You had asked for peoples thoughts and opinions about the time starting to be printed on tickets you buy. I replied with my opinion and included reasons why. You then emphatically came against it as to why that wasn't right. So it was like why did you ask for peoples thoughts to then try and tear it apart and make it soun
