System Odds-What Is Your Limit?
We all know systems can leave us with a wide range of numbers sometimes. I have one right now that gives 90 numbers but within 6 months there is an average of 30 straights that hit out of that list plus numerous boxes. Is that acceptable, I ask myself? Is that good or no good? We'd all love to have a system that gave us one or two numbers that would hit straight within a few days. But is that really possible? And on a consistent basis? I'm really trying to get grip on what your acceptable odd

How is this not a massive fraud by the Florida Lottery?
Flalotteryscam, A couple of slow re-reads of your post highlighted your concern about that particular scratch game in your state. My favorite guru here, The Most Honorable RJoh, has a point also. Investigations cost money, unless of course, a newspaper has a vested interest in scooping this story. Your observations and concerns might be better directed to your State Attorney General, just saying! We play hard earn money in these games, with a hope of a return on our financial outp

Anyone ever try Author Encoe's strategies?
It's of my opinion that a computer program that's seeded by 'A' programmer may not be as fluctuant and dynamic as a Human's interpretation when choosing numbers. You seem to be thinking that random number generator programmers are trying to produce sequences that will match (predict) the lottery draws. This is NOT the case at all. They are trying to produce sequences that are as unpredictable as possible which score high on the randomness tests discussed in the NIST paper. Here's a good l

Illinois lucky day lotto
I wonder if someone from Northstar went to a casino and heard one too many Have a Lucky Day announcements. Today's tickets say Tomottow's Little Lotto Becomes Lucky Day Lotto Same $1 Game, New Name . I hope that's the case but I just don't trust Northstar, here's why: Conflicts of interest mar selection of contracts for IL State Lottery Northstar Lottery Group won a 2010 contract to manage the Illinois State Lottery that could enrich the firm by more than $300 million over five years

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
Thanks for all the posts you've made on this thread, RL. I don't understand yet everything I'll need to understand to try it out as a means of learning more about lotteries, but I think your posts here and elsewhere in other threads provide a sufficient amount of information to allow anyone who wants to devote the energy to understand and test, or try it, to put it to the test. What's more difficult to understand is why anyone who doesn't want to go to that trouble would have strong feelings

Michigan Daily games appear to be rigged
I can find nothing contained within Michigan gaming laws which allows for over-the-phone credit purchases of lottery tickets. It seems to me that any cashier who's willing to put up $400 of his own money to buy tickets for someone on the other end of a phone call is taking a much greater risk than the caller. We've all experienced the frustration and despair of being off by one digit in the daily games when we were sure a certain number was due to fall. In the case of a credit sale as outlined b

Where Does the Money Go?
This description may not be strictly correct in all the technicalities, but it can give a general idea of how this works. The cash value is the amount of money in the prize pool. For simplicity, let's assume one person wins the jackpot. If he selects the cash value option, he receives the cash value amount, which is money already held by the lottery commission. If the winner selects the annuitized payment option, he receives the first annual payment, and the rest (of the cash value) is dep

New York Lottery accounting method questioned
Billions of dollars in bets are kept off the New York Lottery's books. That's because the state Lottery Division does not publicly report the wagers on its video games that go to gamblers as prizes. The figures aren't included in the Lottery's annual reports or audited financial statements, and the Lottery initially declined requests for the amounts wagered on the video machines, and the prizes paid, since the machines were introduced in 2004. Late yesterday, however, a Lottery official

Longest running threads on Lottery Discussion
Rick G and Rip Snorter, If you would kindly point me to the URL of a page at Lottery Post where someone posted a link to a site that is selling something, I will gladly address the issue. I am not aware of any such links. Someone mentioning that they have a book is not the same thing as linking to a site that sells stuff. I think Rip Snorter has mentioned that he wrote some books, and I never had a problem with that either. In addition, you (and others) should be aware that I am activel
