Mega Millions: How long to recieve jackpot?
There are many threads on several of these subjects, especially anonymity, so you might want to use the search feature on Lottery Post. As the other members already wrote, every state has different rules. If you are not in one of those that protect your right to remain anonymous, the dog and pony show you mentioned is usually part of the deal. Like you, I never expect to win, but I always hope I will. I don't currently play MM or PB, but the process is still pretty much the same for s

Is all this lottery research worth it?
goldeneye26,I've gambled on most everything at one time or another in my life. I've played the greyhounds in Florida, thoroughbreds all over the midwest, national lotteries in the Caribbean, state lotteries in this country, and most casino games in Reno, Vegas, and on the riverboats. I'll grant you that some of my greatest successes have come out of dumb luck, but those kinds of hits have also been rather infrequent. I've found that my more modest but steady gains have come through study, strate

MO Pick-6 predictions
RL-RANDOMLOGIC, You're evading my question and setting up a false narrative. A couple of posts ago you stated that after writing this simple program you watched it for a while and it predicted a 5 of 6 win. Then you ran a 300 day backtest and it predicted several more 5 of 6 wins. In this, your most recent post, you've made it quite clear that a backtest of the full history of this game, for a programmer such as yourself, would be a cake walk. Given these facts, why would you be reluctant

NY Sweet Millions
I recently made a spreadsheet that shows how many times each SM number has hit in which position during 2014. The 1 was the winner having hit in the first postion (the only position it can possibly hit in) seven times. At the other end of the spectrum, the 40 has hit five times in the last postion. (The only position it can possibly hit in) Weird, huh? The 23 and the 33 (both are tied for the lead at 8 hits this year) were spread across 3 and 4 postions. So what does all this mean? Don

So upset. My numbers came up and I didn't play them.
The numbers for Tennessee Cash for Friday Dec.14,2012 were: 2-4-28-30-35-5 I play these all the time and today I just ran in the store and got a quick pick. The reason why I play these are because I was married on the 2nd, My two Shih Tzu's were both born on the 4th, My husbands birthday is on the 28th and my daughters birthday is on the 30th and then I got remarried when I was 35yrs old and my sister who is now with the Lord was born on the 5th. So 2-4-28-30-35-5 and there were no jack

What's with NY Sweet Million??
I researched big volume NY lottery retailers a few months ago, and that info isn't on-line, but Queens is the winner when it comes to players winning the most money from lotteries and scratch-off tickets in NY. and the Queens retailers who have given out the most money to players are listed. I haven't been lucky the last few weeks on my tickets, not even close, one Sweet Million I purchased last month had 4 numbers, but no luck ever since. I've mostly been purchasing at retailers where big ja

Switch to Quick Pick
Thanks everyone for sharing your views. This is what I'm getting into: Anyone playing PB/MM (or any other lottery) expect one of the two possibilities: 1) Expectation that, the number he picks will be chosen by the lottery machine (most likely QP) 2) The player wants to predict the number that will be chosen by the lottery machine (most likely own numbers) There are about 70% of the people who play QP, and almost same %age of people win by playing QP. Out of the remaining 30% of t

Teaching you to get all winning numbers in two groups of 10

good strategy for pick 6 wheel
Congratulations on your wins, Tungsten Chef. I would like to put my 2 cents (Canadian?) worth in. When I predict here on LP, predicting for Pick 5 or Pick 6 I normally use a high guarantee like 5 if 6 for Pick 6 and 4 if 5 for Pick 5. That is only because I'm trying for the big win on Lottery Post! In real life that is not what I play. I like the smaller guarantees. If you have the money, for a Pick 6 you can play a 5if5/14 for 371 tickets or 4if4/19 for 325 tickets. The trick, of c
