I also get the fact that ticket sales for all lottery games is way down these days. You can see the effect of the high cost of groceries and gasoline on lottery ticket sales just by looking at the amount paid out for any FF5 jackpot. Saturday FF5 jackpots are $10 to 15 thousand dollars lower than they were last year. The reason FF5 has as many jackpot winners as it does is because the odds are low. They sell $500,000 to $600,000 worth of FF5 tickets every day. That produces sufficient covera

Thanks for the accurate update to my post. I should have used the term probable . In reality a 6/46 matrix has 9,366,819 different combinations of six numbers. That's the reason why there are so many jackpot rollovers until they cap it at $2 million. They don't sell enough combo's for any given drawing to regularly produce a jackpot winner. They have to sell 4,933,159 of them just to have a 50/50 chance of there being a jackpot winner. Players aren't fools, they vote with there dollars and

Michigan Fantasy Five
As far as the spread of numbers is concerned, a normal distribution of the numbers (a bell curve if you look at the distribution graphically) happens in all lottery's, including Michigan Fantasy5. I see a bell curve with my software when I display MF5's drawing results graphically. That said, no lottery is as random as experts say it should be. Proof of that is the number of duplicate sets of five numbers that have been drawn. The experts say That should not happen but it routinely happens

What I'm about to write absolutely stinks, but it's a sad fact of life. Of the millions of players that buy lottery tickets a few players will win a lottery jackpot, but most never will. Given that sad fact of life, it's a big reason why I won't buy midday FF5 tickets. The chances are very good that I wont ever win a FF5 jackpot. Therefore if I do win one, I sure as Hell don't want it to be in a midday drawing that could possibly be split with other players. Of course I'd take the m

I was just looking back at some jackpot stats that I was keeping. Like a fool, I stopped tracking them at 3/31/2022 and now I wish I had tracked them for the entire year. The biggest jackpot won by one person in the first quarter of 2022 was $212,908 on 2/26/2022. Most jackpots (when there was not a rolldown) were split by multiple winners. The highest number of winners for one jackpot was six. There were quite a few rolldowns as well. All of that tells me that if you're lucky enough to win

Here's what's wrong with playing JPT when the jackpot is low..... A guy in North Fort Myers won a $300,000 jackpot playing JPT on December 2nd. OK great! Congrats to him and I know he's very happy to have won. BUT!! While the advertised jackpot was $300,000, he took the Cash Option, and therefore he received $195,802. Although I'm not sure about this, that amount is probably BEFORE TAXES! If I'm correct, he took home probably about half the advertised jackpot. $195,800 before taxes is wh

My pleasure.... Folks... I've been doing a little thinking. (a very dangerous thing for me to do cuz according to my wife, I usually thunk WRONG!!) I like to help other people play smartly. But whether of not I'm providing players with an edge is a fair question. I want to win a jackpot and I bought software to help me play smart ... but I've never won a jackpot with or without software. I usually dont buy QP's but what would I do if I bought one and it was a five outta five match??? I'd sur

This morning when I logged on to my lottery software, there was a message sent to all users of the software by the company that sells it. (Interestingly the company is located in Clearwater) The message talked about the fact that FF5 now has two drawings per day, and if users want, there is a way to filter out the midday drawings, and just use/see data from the evening drawings. The message had instructions in it as to how to filter out the midday draws. So I now have a decision to make and
