The reason why FF5 jackpots were so good and lower tier prizes were so bad is due to the percentages allocated to prizes of the winners prize pool. FF5's official rules show 62% of the winner's prize pool is used to fund the jackpot. The second place prize is 10% of the winners pool and the third place prize prize is 28% of the winners pool. Have you ever heard someone say As much as things change they stay the same ? Number 35 is the fifth ranked FF5 numbers since 7/16/2001 with 1,122 hits. Since 1/1/2017 (the last five years plus up to and including 11/21/2022) it's the number one ranked number (and it has not given up that spot since that date) with 334 hits. Although it has not been the top hitter each year since January of 2017, it still has enough hits each year that it has not given up the top hitting spot since 1/1/2017

Rolldown with the JPT drawing last night. The FF5 numbers were a little weird too. I only had one Free Ticket working last night..didn't win a dime. I bought $15 of PowerBall yesterday - that's the reason why I didn't play FF5. I bought five identical lines of PB, but used a different number on each line for the PowerBall. I also added The Power Play option therefore my ticket has five lines on it where the first five numbers are exactly the same so it cost me 15 bucks to play what amounts

Thanks Mink. Didn't know that you're lurking in this thread! Went into A+ and it worked just as you said it would. That's the first time I've gone into A+ in a very long time. As I was doing it, I remembered that I had done it years ago prior to upgrading to A Gold. It's been almost two years since we moved to Florida. I stopped buying the combo after the promo ended. For me, the big thing about buying the combo while the promo was in place was that I might get to play for free. When the jackpot got to two million, I started buying five games with the combo each time I played. Because I hit the instant prize two times, I played for free twice. Happy New Years Eve! Well last night saw #16 take the lead with 61 hits ... Will #12 hit tonight? Time will tell. In addition, #16 has now hit 10 times in December. That's a huge number of hits for any number to have in one calendar month. That's happened in just three other months in 2022.
