Record $1.9 billion Powerball drawing delayed until Tuesday
If their state lottery can't afford acceptable equipment then whichever state it is has no business running a lottery. I hope the state lottery commissioner that is responsible for this fiasco is fired post haste!!!!!

Michigan lottery club claims $1.85 million Lotto 47 jackpot after playing together for 20 years
Wow, 20 years is a long time to keep the club together. I wonder if the group at one point was a lot bigger and some people got fired or just dropped out. I have seen lottery groups in the past containing 30 or 40 people. They hung in there and it finally paid off. Congrats to all.

Minnesota woman made $117,000 from illegal lottery she claimed benefitted charity
Worked in a hospital setting for 20 years and same for Army 20 years so am quite familiar with HIPAA Federal regulations. A family member usually rats out a fake from what I understand. Don't get me started on outright HIPAA violations as far as Covid-19 goes, Dx are not to be plastered on outside doors to patient's rooms but they were. Dx is diagnosis, sorry to you non-medical folks! Just like with Planned Parenthood, violations left and right. At my hospital instead of Federally pr

Bill to allow Pennsylvania lottery players to claim anonymously passes unanimously in Senate
Driving a tractor with an alleged business name is meaningless evidence wise. Asking you the name of the company is basic record keeping and due process. If is not the job of a bank official to look out a window and verify info in this manner. That bank employee would go viral with that laziness and be fired. Well his truck said 'x'. That was not harassment.

$900 MILLION: Powerball jackpot rises, but sales miss in last draw makes for small increase
I think it's all rigged!!!! Reminds me of a local drawing a few years ago, for a local charity fundraiser. same setup with the balls bubble. Only this time my friend was there as a an active member. He told me before the balls were drawn, commitee members painted a clear magnetic film on the balls they wanted to win... When the event got to the draw, they fired up the balls in the bubble opened the vaccum tube to extract the winning numbered balls. My friend was on stage and said when they opene

Iowa Lottery retailer accuses store manager of buying ticket he knew won $100,000
So he broke store policy when he bought the ticket on company time after the ticket, as a winner, was already store property, as it was unsold at the time of the drawing. He was reasonably fired, and now the store should cash the winning ticket, as they own it.

Iowa Lottery retailer accuses store manager of buying ticket he knew won $100,000
You Don't understand. The store is Liable for all the unsold mega millions and Powerball ticket and also the store is the winner if such unsold ticket wins. It has happened before and the Judge ruled in favor of the store. Unless the store and the lottery have a different Agreement. This is currently the basic agreement policy The store pay for purchased and unsold tickets and the store keeps the prize if it wins . So employees know this rule it's simple unless the store and lottery change this

Iowa Lottery retailer accuses store manager of buying ticket he knew won $100,000
Store manager in sticky situation after retailer investigates legitimacy of ticket purchase By Kate Northrop A store manager was fired from his job after a lottery retailer had found that he had bought a winning lottery ticket he knew was worth $100,000. Aaron McVicker of Dubuque found himself caught in a messy situation after buying a $100,000 winning lottery ticket, which triggered an investigation into whether he violated store policies by playing the lottery on duty. Would you ever pretend to be LO after being scammed by Clerk?
Well, after reading and following this thread, I figured I would jump in the water. I can only speak for the state I live in, but I would think most if not all states have the same or similar setup for players wanting to check their tickets. Stores here that sell lottery tickets have scanners that customers can use to check their tickets, and clerks that sell tickets have scanners attached to the lottery terminals that produce tickets that are sold. So, when I was selling lottery tickets some fo
