Florida Fantasy 5 sums probability
I think if I put my mind to it I could work this one out long hand, but to save time I just ran a million simulations and estimated the answer. The question is suppose you buy 5 quick picks of Florida Fantasy 5, which is a 5/36 game. What is the probability that each of the five lines has a different sum?

93 times in the more than 8100 drawings of CT Cash5 have two sets of five numbers been drawn twice. There have been three times in Cash5 where a set of five numbers has been drawn THREE times. They are 1 17 27 28 34 which was drawn on 7/31/2003, 2/28/2015 7/21/2021. 2 18 26 28 30 was drawn on 4/1/2001, 4/4/2008 1/23/2020. 21 22 25 28 30 was drawn on 8/19/2014, 8/24/2018 11/15/2018. Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you found this useful, G5. I have to disagree about your rationale for not playing them, though. The lottery is concerned with matching numbers, not patterns or abstract concepts such as the classification of a pattern. The combo 12-14-16-18-20 really is just as likely to be drawn as the more randomish (technical term ) combo 3-5-12-29-31. How many combos in sequence for 5/36 matrix?
Does anybody know how to calculate the number of combos of five numbers in sequence for a 5/36 matrix? For instance 1 2 3 4 5 is the first combo and 32 33 34 35 36 is the last combo. How many combos of five numbers in sequence are between those two? Thanks. G5 Not that I'm actually gonna play five numbers in sequence. In Florida Fantasy5 it's happened once when 14 15 16 17 18 came out on 3/21/2011. That's out of 7,722 drawings since 7/16/2001.

My software is Gail Howard's Smart Luck. Google Smart Luck and it comes to the top of the search list. As far as Howard's software goes it's simply the software I chose to buy. It's no worse nor any better than any other. They all do pretty much the same thing. I enjoy using it... studying the numbers and learning about things like the repeating sets of five numbers is kind of my hobby. The thing about repeating sets of five numbers is that without software it's completely invisible to anybody.
