Trust claims $800 million Mega Millions jackpot, largest prize in Texas Lottery history
A boring trust claimed it. I would rather see another Jack Whittaker type claim it so we could all enjoy watching how they mismanage it. I hope the trust invests it all in Ukranian grain futures.

Trust claims $800 million Mega Millions jackpot, largest prize in Texas Lottery history
At least I don't congratulate every winner like some do on here. That really attracts readers reading congratulations every time someone wins. Isn't it obvious that congratulations are in order. Why keep writing that and nothing else. Some of us here want details especially after they win we want to know what they did with the money or what they want to do with it. I found the Jack Whittaker story fascinating. Ripping through 300 million when the guy was already a millionaire was interesting and

Money and the Crime of Kidnaping
Being physically harmed due to becoming suddenly wealthy is the biggest threat facing lottery players. You should consider a visit to reality, or at least find a more realistic definition of threat . Winning the lottery may result in a very small statistical increase in the risk of physical harm from strangers, but winning the lottery does almost nothing to reduce all of the risks that everybody is exposed to. Kentucky $167.3 million Powerball jackpot winner will serve out his sentence
I've known his story for a very long time. If you look at those so called lottery curse stories, most of those unfortunate incidents could've been avoided by being just a lil cautious. It's really sad what happened to his daughter and granddaughter. But he was carrying six figures in cash in his car and would often flaunt it in the strip clubs making sure everyone knew he was wealthy. And when asked why he would do that, his response was because I can . When you have such utter disregard for

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I guess they would have liked paying 70% in taxes like back in 1980. Since I'm not a moron, I'd love to have paid taxes in the 70% bracket. To do that I'd have needed taxable income of more than $215,400, which is equivalent to about 844k today. Also because I'm not a moron I know that I'd only have paid 70% on the taxable income in excess of that 844k (in today's dollars). Still, even if I'd had to pay 70% on all of that, I'd still have had the equivalent of 253k after taxes, plus whatever

$944 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot set to make holiday wishes come true
In 2010 undocumented immigrant Jose Antonia Cua-Toc purchased a winning lottery ticket in Georgia. The ticket was worth $750,000, but due to Cua-Toc s undocumented status he was concerned about claiming his winnings in fear that he would be deported back to Guatemala if found out or that he would not even be able to claim the winnings. To avoid deportation, Cua-Toc gave the winning lottery ticket to his boss Erick Cervantes under the agreement that Cervantes would pick up the money for him. Unfo
