I tried looking at NYlottery site, but the game they play there is Cash for Life , not Lucky for Life. It appears they have changed the Lucky for Life home page again, and it shows a map now of the states where one can play which doesn't make a lot of sense since we all know the games our states have, so we don't need to know where to play. I do but it depends on your age to play that really difficult Lucky For LIfe game. Not for older people at all. I don't believe the prize is good enough for 1-48 + 1-18 lucky ball for a 2.00 bet. 1000.00 a day for life sounds good on paper for someone under 40 maybe. The lump sum option is too low. In case it was not pointed out, the results of the Lucky For Life draw game were posted on the POWERBALL information page, with the LFL bonus ball first in yellow and the Powerball spot BLANK so I don't by the test excuse...someone over there goofed and put the results from a different game. That being said, it IS possible he used the LFL numbers as his Powerball picks and thought they hit.

I think the leniency is due to the fact that the attempt failed and she never got a cent from the lottery. She is lucky someone at the lottery decided at the last second to make sure she was the actual winner. I completely agree with her lawyer that she would have come to a bad end if she had actually gotten her hands on that much money, and I hope she can turn her life around.
