New Florida Jackpot Game
I agree that the new game is NOT the $5 Monopoly Millionaires Club. July 2 is too early. Texas is announcing the game on Monday. Actual implementation is probably months away. Guess Florida is about get a new pick 4 game.

New York instant scratch off tickets - new tickets with less odds to win
long time lurker to the forums but here is a very long post explaining everything the only $20 w $5 prizes is the 10k week for life, the hit 5m that was recently retired has a $10 minimum (as well as the $30 ticket), and the 100x cash has a $20 minimum bingo overall payout is 63.8%, average for a $10 ticket around 72% so yes it is bad, but only slightly over 4 million tickets printed but criminal how bad the odds are on that one (worse than winner wonderland over xmas which had payout o

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
Increasing the size of the matrix didn't help MM, in fact it turned a lot of players off. I played MM regularly when the matrix was smaller, but since they increased it I don't play MM at all until the jackpot reaches at least $250 to $300 mill. If PB increases the size of their matrix, I predict that it won't help them either. IMHO, the main problem is there are just too many lottery games period. MM, PB, a plethora of state level games like Cash 5 etcetera with new state games being introdu

$380 MILLION: Massive sales push Powerball jackpot higher
Who in their right mind needs a billion Dollars to live off? If I'm hearing you right, what you're saying is no one needs a billion dollars to live off of, there for there should never be a billion dollar jackpot. If we are going to accept this premise, that what we need to live off should equal the size of the jackpot, then someone could make the argument the jackpot should never be any bigger than 20 million. After all, who needs anything over 20 million to live off? And yet, here w

Michigan 2015
With Power Ball getting ruined in April and a horrible game called Lucky For Life coming online at the end of January it looks like I will be saving a lot of Money in 2015. In 2015 with Power Ball wrecked and the relatively new and awful Poker Lotto game and The Revamped and awful Monopoly Millionaires Club and the coming awful Lucky For Life game there will be even fewer big winners in 2015. Lets not forget that most of the new games that you can play online at the Michigan web site don't

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
Thanks for the explanation. Now it makes sense why tickets will offer different multipliers - presumably, to better limit prize liability. Seems to me, lotteries are getting worried about the future of Powerball and Mega Millions. The per draw sales, even at the $100 million jackpot level, aren't all that great. Sales below a certain level make the games too risky to offer without changes, just as what happened with the failed Monopoly Millionaires Club game. To digress a bit, while PB MM are

Monopoly Millionaires put on hold
http://www.starnewsonline.com/article/20141212/ARTICLES/141219884 Lotteries developed the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES CLUB game concept based on feedback from players across the nation who desired a game with the potential to make many people millionaires rather than just one person winning many millions, said Alice Garland, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. But sales have disappointed the participating lottery agencies, Garland said. The focus now will be on reviewing and improvin

Cash 4Life
Mink, Have you played, or are you going to play Monopoly Millionaires Club? I played it once, but it'll be a while before I play it again. It goes off tonite, but I'm passing on it. I've been reading all the threads here at The LP about it, and there's definitely a trick to playing it. The trick is that you gotta wait until the JP maxes out before you play. I like the idea of that it's a combo of an online draw game and also a raffle, but in order for anybody to win the raffle, somebod

New multi-state lottery game launches Sunday
To say this is a tricky/complicated game is an understatement. I watched the video posted in the Jackpot Games forum in the Monopoly Millionaires Club thread that shows how the game show will work/be played. If I'm right, to win a million on the TV show, you must first win the most money playing the various games, and then be willing to risk it all for a chance at winning the million dollars. If you're the person that is willing to risk all of what you previously won, and it's the highest

Poll: New National Game October 19th - Will You Play?
22 jurisdiction have now signed on for the game; Minnesota and Washington D.C. are recent additions, and at least one of the Dakotas has also confirmed. I found this recent tidbit hilarious: Minnesota's lottery director admitted that Monopoly Millionaires Club is a complicated game. If they think it's complicated, how do they think players will react? Second-drawings aside, I think the split player-pick / QP-only ticket will confuse players who are accustomed to having complete control ov
