Let's not forget California does not have Powerplay option. I'll never know if they took my suggestion to @ least add Double play to their Powerball, but like Todd said it is not in their laws to allow that. Makes about as much sense as Nevada not offering lotteries because it is against their Constitution. Powerful lobbyists I'd venture to say from the one arm bandits no doubt.

lottobrain, IIRC long after this happened Nevada allowed casinos to put in Mega Millions progressive jackpot slot machines. Whenever anyone in the atate played one of these machines the jackpot progressed. Because of the Aussies and what they did withg the VA lottery the casinos in NV did something or tried to do somethiing to stop around the clock team play but the aound the clock team play didn't last anyway once players thought about how many ways they would have to split the jackpot.
