Odds Question
in a way, that's right, the odds may indeed be deceptive. It matters a great deal the precision of how the question is specified. Does it mean at least 20 losses in a row or exactly 20 losses in a row (out of 240 games)? If the latter, does the streak happen only once, with no other streaks of 20 losses (i.e. any other streaks are 19 losses or less) or can there possibly be multiple streaks of 20 losses in a row, but at most 20 in a row ? These will have different answers. I'm confident these qu

Box odds question
Sorry I have a typo in my reply. It should be 6/10000 where I wrote 6/24. In any case, if you don't trust the answers of internet strangers, the best place to get information about lottery odds is directly from the lottery itself. Most state lotteries have a phone number and email contact for these kinds of questions. They'd be more than happy to clarify anything that is confusing about why some box combos have different payouts because they want your business!

Box odds question
I believe that the single, 1234 can come out 24 different ways but the double pair 1122 has 6 possible combinations. There are 10,000 possible combinations from 0000 to 9999. If you play the single, your chance of having a winning combination is 24 in 10,000. Playing the pair doubles is 6 in 10,000. Playing them both is 30 in 10,000. The single has better odds, which is reflected in the payout. PA pays $100 for a 24 way box and $400 for double pairs box.

Box odds question
Brock ... I agree to disagree and will post my analysis later. The reference was to boxed hits only. The odds are different than straight hits. Until later.

Box odds question
Romans 4:18 TPT Against all odds, when it looked hopeless, Abraham believed the promise and expected God to fulfill it. He took God at his word, and as a result he became the father of many nations. God's declaration over him came to pass: Your descendants will be so many that they will be impossible to count!

Nature of Randomness in Mechanical Systems
Pennsylvania, April 24th, 1980. Nick Perry, then the host of the lottery drawings at WTAE in Pittsburgh, and lottery official Edward Plevel recruited WTAE art director Joseph Bock to inject a small amount of latex paint into the lottery balls that were not 4's or 6's. Reducing the 1:1,000 odds down to 1:8. They then played 7,000 tickets of each of the 8 combinations for a payday of $3,500,000 when 6-6-6 was drawn. There were other co conspirators who bought the tickets. They were eventually caug

Truly Random Numbers
I've been working to create an Excel Spreadsheet to create lottery numbers drawn in picture form. Basically a grid. I'd speculate that if lottery numbers are random then in a perfect situation would be a number after being drawn would not be drawn again until all other numbers have been drawn. We know this not to be true. What in theory makes the lottery numbers drawn is that we can't consistently predict what the next drawn numbers would be. So far I'm using the Spreadsheet for Michigan's Lotto
