mega millions and powerball
MegaMillions isn't available in Louisiana so I play Powerball. I'll probably still stick to my rule of playing only when it gets above $100 million, in my partnership with my friend at work, and in any pool they start at work.If I get to a state that offers MegaMillions, I will buy a ticket if the opportunity arises.PrisonerSix

I missed this comment when you posted it earlier this week. It's an interesting point, and makes sense to me.However, the counter-point would be that Georgia does stand to lose a certain amount of money that it currently makes in sales of Mega Millions tickets to Tennessee border residents.

Your friend gives you a lotto ticket(gift) and it wins the Jackpot.
I've given and received scratch-off tickets as gifts and never thought of it as a partnership but none of the tickets have produced a large winner. The tickets are usually a variety ten or twenty $1 or $2 tickets and the top prizes are around $5000 so it's not the same as the potential to win millions. When I stop and think about it: The gift giver got to play the Lottery and give a gift (not) all for the same $20. LOL! I never thought about it like that but you're right. LOL

Lottery groups
I have to disagree with guesser when it comes to signing the back of your ticket as soon as you buy it. Considering your going to be playing in a group. From what I understand lotteries distribute winnings to one individual, or entity. So by signing the back of your ticket with just the buyers name, in the lotteries eyes would mean they would be the only winner. I would leave it blank, and in the case that your group ever wins. I would seek professional assistance from a tax lawyer, certified fi

KY VA GA Win for Life Results 3-01-06
LotteryPlayer, Thanks for sharing the information about the Win for Life website. There's a lot of useful information there, and it answered some questions that I had about the game. I've placed the site on my Favorites list and will be checking it out frequently. I highly recommend the site to all Win for Life players. I do find it interesting that the website is run by the Georgia Lottery Corporation. They've evidently taken a great leadership role in Win for Life's tri-state partnership
