Claiming winnings in a lottery pool
Here is something I got in the email concerning lotto pools. Actually, this was from two different lottery officials. Hope this helps....1. Most states only issue a single check. If you split a ticket and win, you should form a partnership, call the IRS for a tax number, before cashing the jackpot winning ticket. The state would then pay the partnership, the partnership would split the money and report that split to the IRS.2. The Lottery only allows one individual to claim a prize unless it's

Is this legal?
Very simple, my dear watson. You both form a Limited partnership in Florida with an address in Florida(legal). You then open a bank account in the name of the limited partnership(legal). you purchase the tickets using a cashiers check drawn on the limited partnership's bank account(legal). You purchase a rubber stamp with the partnership's name and stamp the back of each ticket. When you win, you both are required to sign to recieve the check.

Claiming as a trust or partnership
Usually when people in Florida win a large Lotto jackpot, the names are listed along with their ages. Even when the jackpot is claimed as a trust they've historically listed the individual names of the people in the trust. So I found today's press release interesting. (in blue below) Of course it doesn't stop a curious reporter from showing up at your doorstep, but without using my full name and age, I would feel more comfortable. I also wonder if the city can be where the trust was created, not

List of States Which Allow Anonymous Winners
Oklahoma - No (website FAQ) If I should win a large top prize, do I have the option of remaining anonymous as far as the public and media are concerned? In accordance with the Oklahoma Open Records Act and the Oklahoma Education Lottery Act, the name of any individual, corporation, partnership, unincorporated association, limited liability company, or other legal entity, and their city of residence will be made public. It is important for the public to know the lottery is run honestly. Th

Claiming as a trust or partnership
Wouldn't it be bdetter not to use a family name or name at all, something more like Numbers Galore Trust instead of DiLucia Family Partnership? I guess it depends on what your family name is. If it isn't DiLucia, then DiLucia Family Partnership would be an excellent choice.

Older Lotto Players.
That's an admirable thought. You can form a partnership with your parents and legally split it 3 ways.

Lottery player/winner advice ?
Sorry Cash Only if YOU misunderstood these annuity FROM PRIVATE COMPANIES INVEST ONLY IN US TREASURY BONDS!!!!!! NOT IN THE ACTUAL US TREASURY. And if you win you should not claim your winnings in your name any way. Either a family trust or a family partnership or you can set up a foundation like the $165winner in NJ and every body get a check working for the foundation or the partnership. I wonder if the NJ executive claimed the annuity or took the $92 million lump sum. Give me an answer
