Mattress Mack, bettor who called Astros over Phillies both get massive wins on World Series
That's really something amazing. $75 Million win in sports. Before this win, the biggest Sports win I had ever heard of was when someone bet about $10,000 that a Superbowl would be won by only about 5 points and in one of the worst Superbowls ever(This was right before Covid had spread really badly, and right before Shutdowns and Lockdowns, so must have been February 2020), a Superbowl Team won something like 5-3 in one of the worst Superbowls of all time, and the bettor got $100,000.

The System is Rigged
no you're wrong buddy. it's all staged just like wrestling is. offense and defense. they're all paid actors . there are radars and sensors in the balls. Not only me, there are 6 people that decode sports. the only thing real in sports are the cheerleaders, that's it.

New Hampshire wins appeal; Wire Act does not apply to lotteries
Never did understand the DOJ's logic in changing the 2011 opinion by including Internet lotteries with sports betting. It's not like lottery games can shave points or lose on purpose. Been 100 years since the Chicago Black White Sox were caught and banned from baseball for betting on games . If interstate and Internet sports betting becomes legal, Pete Rose might be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The little firm that got a big chunk of D.C.'s lottery and sports gambling contract has no employees
This is the story I read before commenting on the DOJ sports betting case. And after reading about Bailey, I'm wondering if this is an effort to stop sports betting at least in D.C.

DoJ files notice of appeal against New Hampshire Wire Act ruling
Saw where the D.C. Lottery hired a company to run their sports betting too. Considering the number of lotteries wanting to get into sports betting, it will be very interesting to see which side the Supreme Court takes.

New Hampshire sues DOJ over new Wire Act ruling
Yes you have to be physically in that state. Same for NJ sports betting, have to be physically in New Jersey to wager. I've read some folks on border towns of KY could not play on-line because the system thinks they are not in KY. As for residency requirements I would say Yes to that too as you have to register to play the lottery with all the required information. For sports gambling don't think so, folks cross over from New York to play.

Four NJ companies roll out sports betting as NFL season kicks off
I really doubt the California Lottery or any other state lottery will be running sports books nor will they have their 23,000 lottery retailers taking bets on football or any other sporting events. Some or all of the AC casinos might sell NJ lottery tickets and maybe they will move their lottery terminals into their sports book, but that is the only connection between the lottery and those casinos.
