Editorial: Study of lottery winners still receiving food stamps is flawed but raises good points
Independent group finds that more than 65,000 lottery winners stayed on food stamps after their wins By Kate Northrop An independent group surveyed government data and found that over 65,000 individuals who won significant lottery prizes have continued collecting food stamps. A think tank called the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA) submitted Freedom of Information Act requests to all 50 U.S. states for data on lottery winners collecting food stamps since 2019 and found

Michigan friends playing the same lottery numbers both win big in Powerball
Depending on the method I use, I often use a quickpick for the the MegaBall and pick the 5 numbers myself. I did a side by side study in which I bought 2 tickets every week, one with me picking by both the 5 numbers and the bonus ball and one using Terminal quickpicks. When I did this for both Powerball and MegaMillions, the Terminal quickpicks matched the Powerball/MegaBall more often than the other methods so I usually just focus on trying to get the first 5 and let the terminal handle the res

New Jersey Lottery will begin selling tickets online
Article on the news today contradicting what you said about brick and mortar stores---at least in the shopping malls which surprised me. I don't ever go. Costco is it for me. I agree 100% with you for e-commerce and who knows that study could be slighted in favor of shopping malls.

New Michigan lottery player wins $500,000 on his first-ever ticket
Story seems a little far fetched to me. 21 year old needs instructions on how to play a scratch ticket and takes it home to mommy and daddy so they can walk him through it. Then at age 21 which he should be in his 3rd year of college here all of a sudden decides he wants to study overseas. Had he applied to or thought of this previously. Yet, he is not smart enough to figure out how to play a scratch ticket. I am scratching my head over this one.

$1.35 billion Mega Millions lottery winner suing mother of his child for revealing win to family
Everyone's influenced by Arnold, Maria, and Rose . They are part of American history. Thousands of Americans also study serial killers. That's why there's many books about them and crime shows on TV. The last 2 sentences weren't directed to you personally but to anyone ignorant enough not to realize that fact, you see.

Editorial: Study of lottery winners still receiving food stamps is flawed but raises good points
Especially when it is a one-time lottery prize! That's one of the points Kate was making in the editorial. The study made some bad assumptions, but is probably still valid for giant lottery prizes that are the equivalent of multiple years of income to the winner.

$1.9 BILLION POWERBALL JACKPOT SETS WORLD RECORD OF UNIMAGINABLE WEALTH
I played 6 LP quick picks on Powerball over the weekend and 1 matched the Powerball, 1 matched 2 numbers, and another matched 1. I'm doing a little study on LP vs Terminal quick picks for Powerball and hope to have the results soon.

$1.35 billion Mega Millions lottery winner suing mother of his child for revealing win to family
Now that i'm home and on a computer, I can read your post clearly. I'm not good at reading and replying on a telephone. As they say in Hollywood, Take two! Everyone's fascinated with Arnold, Maria, and Rose . They are part of American history. Thousands of Americans also study serial killers. That's why there's many books about them and crime shows on TV.

$1.35 billion Mega Millions lottery winner suing mother of his child for revealing win to family
I study people...all types of people, which is why I can understand why the lottery winner didn't want his parents to know his secret. What I would have done in that situation is flaunt my winning lottery ticket in their faces, told them to go to HELL and kiss my BLANK BLANK BLANKETY BLANK! Hopefully, now the lottery winner has also learned a lesson about women. If he hasn't learned anything from his child's mother, he's a fool.
