Alabama should look to the United Kingdom, for an example of how to run a very successful lottery. Increase in smartphone and tablet players fuel surge of interest in the British National Lottery Sales at newsagents and other retailers rose 73m last year to a record 6.01bn. Those sales, which include Lotto, Euromillions and scratchcards, make up about 80% of Camelot s revenues. Digital sales on tablets and smartphones rose 53% to 596m. Irish lottery site and ticket machines hit by DDoS attack
I doubt a consortium of owners that is comprised of Camelot would ignore the savings of streamlining the process. On 3 October 2013, Minister Howlin announced that the government had agreed to sell the National Lottery licence for 405 million to Premier Lotteries Ireland, a consortium comprising An Post, An Post pension funds, and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan(owner of the Camelot Group, operators of the UK National Lottery).[9] Dermot Griffin, head of the An Post National Lottery Compa

UK National Lottery jackpot dwindling - Is it worth playing anymore?
Thanks for the advice, I think the Euro millions is probably a better choice for me now, I also haven't won a minimum prize on the UK National lottery since it changed over stakes/prizes and was previously quite lucky with the three number wins.

Pa. Gov. expects protracted legal fight on privatization
Camelot has been successfully running the UK National Lottery for many years, and they have a lot of smart people working for them. I would tend to trust their estimates and expertise.

Euro Millions
Thanks, but link clearly states that for playing via internet, player should be a resident of UK, but nothing about buying the physical thicket while the non-resident player is legally visitinng UK! I have not seen any sign anywhere in UK's selling agents that indicates tourists visiting UK can't play . Wouldn't this consider a fraud by UK National Lottery to mislead the people to buy the thickets, but not pay the prize if they win?

Britons go lotto loopy for £100m Euro Millions draw
Well it must be hit by the 10th or it will be rolled down to the 2nd level prizes if no one wins on the 10th. According to the UK National Lottery page it should roll to a 12th drawing once every 25 years which I find hard to believe. This is also the last jackpot roll that will be able to go a little higher to a 13th roll although who knows how likely that is. I doubt it will roll today.

Record $150 million Euro Millions lottery drawing Friday
Visa debit card, Bank of America. Mac OS X 10.4, firefox 1.5 (I never order stuff on a pc). I think they have had problems off and on. It helps if you tell the website it's a new card then just enter in the same card. I got mine to work that way. Also check the uk national lottery website to see if they are up, if it's down the order doesn't go through.
