WELFARE!!!!!!!
The Rock says that he is sick and tired of seeing welfare this and welfare that. The Rock saw where some jabroni wrote that welfare is for people who does not want to work. That is full of bologna, sure you have some people who are on welfare and are beating and using the system and you you will always have people trying to beat the system in one form or another. The majority of people on welfare are there becuase they have know other means to support support or their kids. The Rock says lets no

Tennessee may cap lottery winnings at $600 for poor
I don't have a problem with people who are down on their luck being on welfare.Anyone can can have a bad run of luck and find themselves on welfare.I DO have a problem with career welfare cheats, those folks who are 2nd 3rd generation welfare recipiants. These people simply don't want to work and are content to lay around and collect a check and foodstamps from the government.I can't say that someone on welfare can afford to buy nice clothes and expensive suv's with 25 inch rims. They don't make an

Should tax payers be paid back after a win
i don't know how welfare works in every state but i thought they changed the rules ... Welfare Reform. You can get welfare assistance but sooner or later you have to seek employment and stay employed or lose your welfare.

Lottery bill could limit winner's take
it's one of many ways to get off the system So how many people on welfare have gotten off of welfare by playing the lottery? And how much did people on welfare have to spend in order to do that? That's the important part, which you must not understand. Having a handfull of people on welfare save taxpayers a few million dollars doesn't actualy help the taxpayers if they spent more than twice as much of our tax dollars as they save us by no longer collecting welfare. Make no mistake, that's h

NJ lottery winners still receiving welfare, food stamps, audit says
An audit sniffing out fraud in New Jersey's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program detected 66 lottery winners who were perhaps too lucky. They were all welfare and food stamps beneficiaries who had each won more than $10,000, including one person who had been collecting $1,000 a week from the Win for Life scratch-off game prior to 2009. Ten other winners netted more than $100,000 in lottery proceeds from 2011 to 2013. All of them were still collecting food stamps this year, according to t

things i have noticed
I can understand your logic. Even though I don't agree with welfare recipients buying lottery tickets, I also don't agree with them being able to purchase alcohol and/or cigarettes. If they can't afford to buy their groceries, I don't see how they can afford to purchase these types of items. HOWEVER, if welfare recipients are denied being able to purchase lottery tickets, I have to wonder how much sales will drop. If bans are put in place for this, they should be put in place for other items as

Loopholes allow some Michigan lottery winners to stay on welfare
Technically if you win the lottery the welfare money you would be collecting your own money. I have said this before, but I will say it again, the same lottery winners that collect welfare that people talk smack about have probably paid more in taxes from their winnings than all of you combined and are paying for a lot of you guy's and your family's benefits that you are collecting. The amount that they would get back via welfare is a pittance to what they paid out in taxes when they collected.
