Curious about Quick Picks
SkyLine69, when people tell you to eliminate a quick pick number, is because you all ready have that, if it one of your picks to play for that day, then you invest a little more on that quick pick number. Other wise move on to the other numbers you like for that day. Now, as far as pick a scratch offs by zip code. You're about to really tick- off some Retailer, big time! Think about it. The average store has about 50 or more scratch off ticket usually in a case on the counter, about 20 others be

How The Winners, Not Numbers, Are Picked. A Theorem.
Extreme indeed, joker17! Ironically though, I think there are some people, given a healthy enough bankroll, that would do it, just for the braging rights. Bark of bitter tree tastes good to hungry squirrel (F-Troop). //////////////////////////////// I will say that I have seen the oppposite of the question posed in the OP happen. Hoosier Lottery
Its all about control of the money. The State and Gtech control the money and who gets what. In Texas a study was taken in 2005 which showed that the poor people support the lottery with their dollars than the wealthier people of Texas. The sad truth is the poor don't win the big pots. This money is controlled. All of it. When numbers were ran in this country before the lotterys began it was corrupt. There is no tracking system for the paying public to see. The State and Gtech don't want

Look what VA's doing for its players...
You don't need to be a resident of VA to participate in the contest, but it is being run regionally, one lottery region at a time. While one region is running the contest, the others are not. This is why you need to input your ZIP code on the web site, so that it will direct you to the proper site. This is not being used as a qualifier , just as a the contest is not being run in your area yet thing, because the idea is that they want to have 15 winners from each of the regions. To get around

Let-Lottery Winners Remain Anonymous
Why does this petition require your street address and zip code in order to be a valid signature ??? I don't think that should be necessary. Your E-mail address should be enough !! Or, just your state, should be enough !

trying to find if a person won
Some web sites (like New Jersey's, for example) have sections where you can search by zip code, and it tells you every winner from that location. You'll need to check the state web site of the particular state the person is in.
