Today is the first day for high school students to begin applying for Tennessee lottery scholarships.Students can submit their application for Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarships (TELS) using a free federal student aid program to qualify for up to $4,000 in scholarships per academic year.Tennessee is using a federally-sponsored program called Free Application for Federal Student Aid, better known as FAFSA, to determine students eligibility for grants, scholarships, loans and financial aid.
