Tenn. Lottery uses other states' lotto numbers, headquarters flooded
The Tennessee Lottery closed its Nashville headquarters office Monday, due to flooding conditions. According to the lottery's Disaster Recover Plan, when the lottery is unable to draw its own numbers, it will substitute other states' winning numbers as its own. S.C. Lottery to pay for Pick 4 error
During the South Carolina Education Lottery's evening Pick 4 draw for Saturday, March 13, the numbers 7, 2, 4, and 5 were selected. However, an error occurred when the numbers 1, 2, 4, and 5 were entered into the central system for validating claims, according to a release from SCEL. A Bridgeton, New Jersey, resident has a store clerk's error to thank for his purchase of a scratch-off lottery ticket worth $100,000. A North Carolina man has a knack for picking the winning number for Virginia Lottery drawings. The Virginia Lottery said Wednesday that Steve Granger of Henderson, N.C., won $90,800 in Sunday night's Pick 4 drawing by playing the same number combination, 5-1-1-7, on 20 tickets.
