Man to use lottery winnings to open new business
A Dodge City man plans to open his own truck repair shop with money he won playing the Kansas Lottery's Kansas Hold 'Em game.
Lottery officials said in a news release 34-year-old Andew Shong stopped at HD's Sports Bar in Dodge City a couple of weeks ago to grab a beer.
While I was there, I saw these two guys playing Kansas Hold'Em for $2 a hand, Shong said. I knew to win the maximum you have to wager $10 a hand so I told the bartender to give me one draw for $10.

Answer: They're all items that a family from Ireland want to purchase after winning the lottery.
A couple with a young family from Dublin, Ireland, have won a Lotto jackpot prize of 7,384,790 (US$8.4 million).
The pair didn't realize they were winners until almost two weeks after the draw, which was on on Saturday September 19.
They purchased their ticket, a 40 Quick pick play valid for 8 draws, in the Supervalu store at Killiney Shopping Centre in Dun Laoghaire on September 15.

Judge rules boss must give waiter half of $1.7M lottery jackpot for predicting win
A restaurant boss in England was ordered yesterday to split a disputed 1 million (US$1.7 million) lottery payout with one of his waiters who claimed he dreamed they would win a fortune together.
Judge Mark Gosnell told Hayati Kucukkoylu he must hand 500,000 of the EuroMillions prize to Fatih Ozcan.
