Fort Knox soldier almost trashed winning lottery ticket
A soldier stationed at Fort Knox apparently made the right decision when he sifted through his trash to check if his lottery tickets were worth anything. Kentucky Lottery officials said the soldier, who they said didn't want to be identified, had cleaned out his car and tossed a winning ticket worth $800,000. Kentucky Lottery expects record sales, dividend this year
The Kentucky Lottery Corp. has forecast record ticket sales and a record dividend to the state for the fiscal year ending June 30. Kentucky Lottery hits record sales in third quarter
The Kentucky Lottery Corp. earned net income of $56.2 million on a record $198.5 million in sales during its third quarter of fiscal 2006. Sales were driven by a record-breaking $365 million Powerball jackpot in February, according to a news release.
