TLC is planning to change to computerized drawings in March,2005 for the Cash 5 and probably continuing with Pick 3 and others, dventually.

I would REALLY like to see how resident Texans feel about the changes.

I realize that anyone can vote ( players, etc), so this probably won't be accurate as far as the feelings of fellow Texans, only

Thank you,

MollyG

OK, MollyG.  There are currently 2 votes recorded: obviously yours and mine.  You are for computerized drawings, since the vote opposite mine was "FOR".  We'll see how the rest of the members here vote.

You should do some searching of past polls on this subject, because it has been done numerous times before.  Each time the clear majority was against.

Hopefully you will not become more entrenched in your position, but instead seek to learn why people are so adamantly opposed to computerized drawings, and will possibly change your mind.

Todd, I understand how everyone feels in OTHER states.  I just wanted to get to know the Texas players feelings. We won't know, if we don't ask.

I understand your point, and I agree that it will be interesting to see the results.  If a vast majority of the people voting say "AGAINST" will you open to changing your mind?

Probably not.  Strictly because it is MY feeling. (USA freedom).  I'm not trying to change anyone else's mind or convince them differently. The other TEXAS players have a right to their opinion, Too....be it FOR or AGAINST.

I am definitely against computerized picks for drawings.  I believe they can be rigged and the TLC doesn't stand for tender loving care . . .

ADMISSION OF CONFUSION:  I don't know WHY I checked FOR, because I really don't care, one way or the other. I shoulda checked NO PREFERENCE.  Maybe, and strictly Maybe, it was a sense of rebellion, because of the pressure....I don't know. That's the truth.  And, it really doesn't matter, because their gonna do what they want to anyway; they've proven that.

Computerized Drawings on Cash 5 start in March of this year. Think you can stop them?

It may be rigged now, how do we know.

                MollyG,

Too bad that you have decided to come out FOR computerized drawings, when you yourself said you have no preference.  That is MY opinion. (USA!)

One other opinion of mine is that Texas will NOT do whatever they want.  They will only do whatever they want if there is more apathy on the subject, as NO PREFERENCE indicates.  When everyone comes together in unison and votes "AGAINST", and when lots of people get together and find every conceivable way to let the Texas Lottery and their Texas Representatives know their feelings, you can bet your bottom dollar that they will listen.

I voted no preference, i feel texas is a terrible state to play pick 3 in now, but i cant see them getting any better or worse with computers.

After what WI just did i am once again on the ANTI computer side.

WI was consistent for 3 months and then all of a sudden the R got put back in RNG.

i lost about $60 waiting for the pattern to come back, and caught the 484 double for $75, then spent about $20 more so WI has put me in a negative slightly in the last month. (Still better than GA, lol)

anyways, the reason i hate TLC so much is that they use i believe 15-17 ballsets or something crazy and then they have 4 pretest draws

and for exampe the pretests might look like this

                      083

                      376

                      837

                      508

and then the draw will be

                      245

and your like, come on lol

oh well, its just an opinion, i dont play texas either way. :(

Todd, I just explained my reasoning in my above post about the "FOR" vote.  Did you not read it?

If you look on lottoreport.com you will see how Ms Nettles launched petitions and offered pre-written letters to congressmen to try and stop the TLC from past changes....it didn't work.

Todd, would you like to delete this poll, before it gets 'harrie'?  I simply wanted to hear the other TEXAN's opinion on the subject.  I did not want to be rediculed.

                        Regretfully,

i too am against any lottery being computorized. i would'nt care if it was in texas, n.j., n.y. or anywhere else i'd stand up and fight for my rights as a lottery player and individual on this matter. strength can only come in numbers. it's your rights, stand up for them...!!!!!!

                            Hi there,

I'm for Texas and I'm for computerized drawings, I prefer this over different ball sets that they (TLC) are using in the drawings.

MollyG:  I am not ridiculing you, I am debating you.  You have decided to post a poll on a subject, in which most people disagree with your opinion.  I understand that makes you feel a certain pressure, but there is no need to say I am ridiculing you.  That is not my style.  I form opinions, and I try to back them up with fact-based arguments.
