The addition of California to Mega Millions will mean a new version of the game this year.

I think powerball will change when the next state joins in response to keeping up with mega milliions.

I hope it stays the same.  I have no idea what they could do differently, but if California is involved it can't be good.

Although Powerball is overdue for a matrix change ever since TN, ND, VT, and ME joined, I think it has not been enough time since the last matrix change (6. Oct. 2002). Maybe after OK, and a few more states hopefully FL) join, they will change the matrix.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

I still think Powerball will change again this year.

I doubt it. Even though their average jackpots are below some of the biggest state lotteries I doubt they will change. Would be nice to think that they would see falling sales matching those small jackpots and make some changes though.

I hope not. The jackpots are rolling about right and we've had a few winners our here in DE. They would have to add another state

If Mega Millions did a major matrix change, you bet that Powerball would follow, just not til '06 or '07.

It might still be in '05.

what could they possibly do to change?  make it harder to win jackpots?

They could lengthen the annuity so that even you wouldn't take it.

LOL funny.  I think the jackpot would have to be super high for me to take an annuity for more than 29 years.

                          You'll never win it.

Are you saying I'll never win a jackpot?

Not if you keep claiming that annuity is better than lump sum.
