The sentence that didn't show up was cut off on this paper too but it was chopped in half. It says : a psychiatrist to get your head screwed back on straight.  Sorry it didn't come out clear.

Thanks for clearing that up.

      four4me,

there is a big difference between celebrities and people who win the lottery.  Celebrities are indentifiable, people look up to them and admire them.  When was the last time you saw someone asking a lottery winner for his or her autograph?  You have probably rubbed shoulders with a multi-millionaire countless times in passing without even knowing it.  However, if you bumped into a celebrity at the airport or gas station you'd be sure to notice.

You betcha i have been around millionairs all my life. here in maryland we have lots of em. But your last sentence was what i replied to.

Of course there are some lottery millionairs who enjoy many perks for being one. If you win big go on tv and advertise it to the world that you won. Then call out to las vagas and tell them you just won the lottery and are booking a flight there so you can hit the tables. You will be greated with open arms at the airport and be escourted and pampered the whole time up to the day you leave. And just might be asked to sign some autographs.

If I had a job and hit jackpot. I would not work. I would make more money from the jackpot I win by putting in stocks.

Like i've said before keeping a jackpot is work...based on what I've seen and heard, I would need to get some education in the fundamentals of finances, investments, and stocks...i couldn't bear the thought of hiring a financal expert and not have clue as to what he is talking about, or whether he is the right guy or company.   so I can't say that I would be at my job if i won a small fortune.... alot of people who win a jackpot, get this sense that they can do no wrong,,,and that the money will never run out....and before you know it its gone.....

If it's here in FL then $5 million after taxes would work for me to quitworking for a bit. If it's megamillions (GA) or powerball (SC) than it has to be $100 million pre tax to make the road trip with my buddy which we'd split. Of course in GA or SC I'm talking the annuity advertised amount which I'd probably pass on and take the cash. Seeing that I live In a state that doesn't pay income tax. I figure it might make more sense to pay state tax to either GA or SC in one lump and be done with their tax laws.

Depending on the jackpot I'd take a sabbatical from working if it was small or if it was quite large then I'd quit out right. I wouldn't quit working forever I'm sure I'd work again in some form or another. Initially I'd just be trying to  do things like set up my finances for the rest of my life, Find a different place to live etc. Once that was done I might take the occasional part time gig (no pay) or just volunteer with charities or the local library on a seasonal basis. As far as a part time gig it would be for friends so I wouldn't actually be taking a paying job from someone! Even with trips every year and new toys that I can only dream about now I feel a bit of structure i.e. (work) would probably help me stay sane if you will........

I believe that if I won enough...not only would I keep working, I would buy as much of the Company as I possible could...just to have the personal pleasure of irritating the living daylights out of one of my previous supervisors because I would make it mandatory for him to report to me daily or be docked 4 hours pay for not checking in. Some things in life I can be very evil about. And no...would not fire the guy, that would be letting him off easy, I would just stay on his case constantly and knit pick absolutely everything he did and said. And do it all just cause I can. Oh and yes, the current Company President KNOWS exactly how I feel and he thinks it is just plain funny.

Why do you want to build detroit.  Is it broken down or something?
