Can barely break 100 without getting won. Still better than what powerball is doing right now. Hope these two games can get fixed ASAP.

Looks like i'll just go back to loosing Quinto now.

You shouldn't complain about the Mega Millions being won.  This is the second straight run that it's broken $100 million.

Anyway, since I didn't take home the mega millions, hopefully, I take home tonight's Illinois Lotto jackpot of $21 million (the last time the IL Lotto jackpot was won was November 17, 2004)!

MM will make the jackpot even harder to hit.

The MegaMillions matrix will change to 5/63 + ? when Calif starts selling tickets, according to some folks who have a good record for knowing what they are talking about.

I think 1 in 170,000,000 will probably hurt the game more than it will help, but then most lottery profits come from players who are basically ignorant when it comes to odds, etc. No doubt many will keep spending their money and attribute their losses to bad luck.

I have a difficult time understand why so many people want huge jackpots. As far as I know, the odds of winning (losing) are the same no matter if the jackpot is $10 million or $300 million, given the same matrix.

Again, personally, I think I could manage to live a pretty good life with just a couple million!!

Ohioans get the same opportunity tonight with SuperLottoPlus $17M jackpot.

I agree.  The only people who want large jackpots are the state lottery folks so they can make more money at the expense of the people.

                    Are you sure it would be 5/63 + 1/24? Another proposal was 5/71 + 1/17 (1:~221m).

5/71 + 1/17. Easy to win small, and hard to win big. It's perfect!

How would 5/55 and 1/55 sound?

                         What are those odds?

                         Florida will be next.

I hope MM goes 5/63 + 1/24 .  If they go 5/71 + 1/17, I will stop playing and will only play Powerball.

The fix you seek can be accomplished by having a rule that all jackpot winning tickets will only be awarded second prize until the jackpot reach $500M, but I doubt if anyone would play.
