Great i hope it gets hit every draw. i can live just as good on 5m cash as i could on 50m  . why do we need more money than we can spend.

If it gets hit every draw, the MUSL will probably lose money.

every $10 million drawing, they take in $12 million in sales USALLY. they have enough to pay the cash option, and cover the cost of employees, machines, etc.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

yes doctor ,and if they pay out 7m in cash that leaves 5m to operate for 4 days 3 days

if the draw is on wednesday. if they can't operate 3 days on 5m they need to quit.

I don't mind the low jackpots. I want to remind you all that this is an odds game. The recent winning might explain if the jackpot does not get won for a long time. It just might be setting itself up for a record jackpot ever in powerball. I say prep your numbers. It might be a one time thing.

I hope I win before the increase the matrix. I am sure all these 18 million winners are as happy as a 100 million winners.

I don't think the size of the jackpot has anything to do with it. Larger jackpots no doubt attract more players, but there are a lot of players in the 20 something states with Powerball, plus the many players who cross state lines.

The more chances people buy, the greater the chance that someone will have the right numbers, regardless of the odds.

              Just my thoughts.

The more winners there are, the less people will play and thus make a bigger jackpot.

All they have to do is look at the total different combinations covered in drawings now when there are an "excessive" number of winners and before when there weren't winners for corresponding drawings.  There should be a difference if there is really something going on besides chance randomly picking winners.  If the same number or fewer combinations are covered per drawing now as before, how can they rationally say the game needs to be changed?

I remember a few years ago when there was a jackpot around $250-300 mil I read that 96% of all possible combinations were covered, and the number picked was in the 4% that wasn't - no winner. So chance goes both ways. But according to several millionaires on here working as shills for the lottery, it's okay when luck goes against the players. When luck goes in favor of the player, the rules have to be changed.

Sure. I play for me personally to win. But if it isn't going to me, it shouldn't be anyone else either... then I can set my sights on a larger jackpot next drawing!

That's part of the excitement of rolling jackpots.

Not to mention they also need to give a certain percentage of sales to the state programs they're supposed to fund.  If the jackpot is hit every draw, there won't be as much money left to do that, defeating the purpose of a lottery.  The purpose of a lottery is to generate revenues for the states, not to reward people insane amounts of money.

i don't care about the states.  and neither do you. we play the lottory to win.

if we wanted to just help the states we would just donate the money.

stop the lottory and ask for donations and see how much you get.
