I was 50 until I bought the 1999 Metalic Navy Blue Corvette in December. Now with Pink Floyd and Led Zep coming through the Bose speakers while doing about 75-80 ,  I'm not too sure how old I am anymore.  Get ready to buy a Mass Air Flow Sensor!

33 years old, thanks for the service in Vietnam Lottoways!

Thanks for the heads up on the air flow sensor GoArmy. A piece of cake compared with what I sunk into my Jag the first year I had it.

Before the sensor, I'd recommend upgrading your air filter to a Donaldson Blackwing.  It's one of the easiest ways to add 7-10 HP!

Thanks for that info Todd , I looked it up because I didnt see it in the Corvette America Catalog I have and found it on a website Corvette Garage I think. It is there for $234.00 so I saved it to my favorites. Says you can add 17 to 19 HP so when I get a hit on the pick 3  I may look into it. Thanks again and

         Good Luck,

        Blackie.

LottoMike , Mine is a 99 and in great shape . Bought it from a Lt Commander in the Navy that garaged it all the time. I don't know much about them since that was the first one I had but it sure is fun to drive. I had Camaro's all the time . '70 , 79, and 80. Then I bought my Jag when I blew the engine in the '80 Z-28 so I guess Camaro's are first before I went up to the Vette. Todd can probably help you out with that question. Look for a private seller, not the dealers if it's a used one.

             Good Luck,

            Blackie.

i am old enough to win the lottery and young enough to make older lottery players curse when they find out that another  20something won a jackpot.

                  Blackie,

You can find it a little cheaper if you shop around.  Check out my favorite Vette website, www.corvetteforum.com.  They have a bunch of advertiser links, and some have the Blackwing for closer to $200.  Sometimes you can pick one up on a group purchase price.  (Check the forums there.)

It was the first mod that I made to my vette, and probably the best, considering the bang for the buck you get.

58 here.... some days I feel old enough to have given God the recipe for dirt.... other days I can't decide what I want to be when I grow up ... and a long time ago I decided I wasn't going to be "middle aged" until I'm 60

I had to laugh about the dirt.  I am 59, blonde and gorgeous. lol  Anyway my 6 year old  grandson ask me "how old are you Nana"  I said "as old as dirt".  He said "how old is that"  I said "how old do you think dirt is"  He said "39"  and I said, " you guessed right, I am 39".
