I certainly would quit my current wage-slave job but would probably continue to work in a different capacity, perhaps overseeing my own business.

Work isn't work if you really enjoy it... but these guys who win a hundred million dollars and say they'll continue to work in their factory or whatever.. you gotta be kidding me.

Hi, it is nomoneybabe! I just voted no. Why not ?

Quiting job is positive thing: First, you don't have to get trouble at workplace.

Secondly, winning give unemployed person a job position . Why you work as you have lots of money in your bank? while many others have to struggle to have a job ???Embarassed

Just use your money to contribute to the society ...charity, red cross ... etc ? OKBig Smile

Yes I would.  Don't have a choice though, as Singapore's biggest lottery jackpot happens only once a year and is only at 10 million and most likely to be shared by up to 10 winners.Unhappy

If it's as big as those seen in the Americas, then you'd bet that I'll pay my boss to let me quit within 24 hours.Big Grin

If you won a 100 million you owe it to everybody who played so they could retire.  To retire and buy anything you've ever wanted to buy.

I don't think I would work for awhile.  After I get over the shock, Lord only knows when that would be, I would probably do volunteer work or work at my other profession as a CPhT.Dance

Exactly.  That's another reason why I'd work a little while longer, to keep myself grounded.  Once I got everything squared away, I'd work a few more months after collecting the money.  I want time to get over the initial shock of winning so I won't go nuts with the money.

In addition, I'd work after collecting the money so as not to draw suspicion to myself.  I'd try to find an anonymous way to collect the money so nobody will know it's me.  If I quit right after the money is collected, that might raise a red flag so I'd probably work for several more months, once the excitement dies down.  During that time though, I'd plan for my new life, decide where I want to move to, and so on.
