Powerball [ 6 ]  [20.00%]
Mega Millions [ 24 ]  [80.00%]
Total Valid Votes [ 30 ]

Yeah, California is going to make the rest of the Mega Millions states very very jealous.

I dont think so. If I remember correctly, I think NY has the highest total lottery sales in the nation at nearly $6 billion.

2nd) MA with over $4 billion

3rd) TX with over $3 billion

4th) FL with around $3 billion

5th) CA with just under $3 billion.

Sure California will bring a large number of potential players but how many of them actually play the lottery or will play MM? That is yet to be determined. I think NY will continue to have the highest sales for MM and CA will be second.

Its true that at the end, sales dont mean much. Luck plays a role also. So if the players in California are luckier, then they will have the most MM jackpot winners.

We will have to wait and see.

I think Washington must be near the Virgin Islands in sales then.

NY and MA are the most-overrated US lotteries.

I say Mega Millions, but I also hope California can surpass New York in Sales soon because New York is still playing the 6/59 Lotto format instead of playing a Lotto Plus style game. In June 2000, California started a Super Lotto Plus game. When will NY start a Lotto Plus?

The problem with NY Lotto is its 38%-40% payback.

I agree with MM CASH Only hitting 363+ million first. Powerball odds of winning a cash prize is better [36.60 versus 39.89] when they go to a 5/55+ 1/42 matrix on August 31st draw.

Maybe MM will break the record with this run.

We'll see in the long run. I say MM maybe on this record run.

PB will have a tougher time breaking records if CT leaves.

The reason I only had two choices MM and PB because not only the minimum requirement is necessary, but I didn't want to have both as an option because one choice is necessary. I hope CT keeps PB and all 50 states join PB and/or MM.

Actually if one or two states left Powerball it could set Powerball up for a very high pot. The record pot was held in a game with only six states playing.

MM had seven states when it reached 363m.

With 12 states, I think MM will reach 363+ million first. When PB reached 315 million, how many states participated?

I have some terrible news, the Terminator [Arnold Schwarzenegger] fired the acting director of CA Super Lotto. I wished that CA wins the lawsuit and banning CA from playing Mega Millions. Without CA playing MM, then PB could reach it first.
