Bonnie,

Sweet...btw...what city? I got to visit Anchorage.

Oh, and tell your kids, no eating the iceburgs. I found out, the hard way of course, what it's like eating a peice of ice burg. I managed to get about a 4 pound chunk out of one of the glacier inlets we visited. Cracked it open, thinking, gonna see what this taste like...A spoon full of pure sand would have had less grit in it. I spent the next hour spitting while my friends there just cracked up laughing at me (they already knew). But hey, live and learn :-) Also, if you visit a Glacier park, tell your kids to listen real close to the ground, you can actually hear the ice moving. Really neat stuff.

Oh, and here is the favorite Alaskan Joke I heard up there;

A Texan was bragging about how wealthy Texas is to an Alaskan. The Texan said that Texas was so rich, they could build a wall of solid gold, 3 feet high and 3 feet wide along the full perimeter of Texas. The ole Alaskan scratched his chin for a moment and then replied "You folks go ahead and build that wall. If we like it, we will buy it".

      I like the joke. Wink

We are going to be going either to somewhere around the Kenai peninsula (my choice) or around the Mat-Su valley (hubby's choice). Actual city/town will be determined based on where he ends up getting a job. We should know something more definate about that transfer tomorrow evening. I am praying so hard that it is God's will that he get that transfer. I really feel that he has a good chance of getting it. Just remains to be seen. Either way, he will be leaving out at the end of this month. -Bonnie

Good luck to you Bonnie, and good luck to your husband in finding what you both want.

Sooooo..... back to Gold/Platinum Membership advantages:

I'm thinking a LP user stands the best shot tonight of becoming a jackpot winner, ever.  I might be wrong, but I believe certain trends with the numbers will gel tonight in ways a person would probably never detect without having access to the stats and histories available to LP G/P members.

Maybe we'll never know, as has been suggested on another thread.  But if the PB jackpot size dives back to $10 mil tonight, sniff around the upcoming news.  You mightn't know the identity of the winner because we're all a fairly sneaky lot here, knowing how we're going to bury our identities if we win.

But I think there's a good chance of it happening, and that the time is tonight.

On the other hand, I don't know nuthun' about nuthun'.  Yo no se nada de nada.

        Trust me on that.

I think the stats, search options and number histories have saved me more hours than I could count.  Money well spent.  I was doing most of these things by hand before I got my membership, and there almost wasn't enough time between draws to get it done.  With a Platinum membership it's all there at the keyboard, several hours work done in a matter of minutes.

How about the rest of you paying members?  I'd like to hear anything you're willing to confide about how you see the membership benefits helping (or not helping) you, how you use them, which ones you use most (least), and maybe what you'd like to see changed to make it better.  Likely as not Todd would like to hear that, also.  If not, there's probably some budding young genius out there reading the posts who thinks he might like to start a lottery site.  He'd like to hear how to make a good one.

                Jack

I am a new Platinum member and am still learning my way around Lottery Post.  I visited as a "guest" for a couple of weeks before signing up.

I really like the stats, search options and number histories, too.  But it's not just the useful features and resources that Todd is building into LP that makes this place great, it's the community of LP members who share their experiences, ideas, and knowledge with everyone.  There is so much to learn here and that's why I decided to become a Platinum member.

It's a privilege to be associated with such a fine group of people!

yes we can.  you post enough - all over the place - at least have the decency to support this site.

While I rarely, if ever, use any of the benefits that are included with the premium membership, I am glad that they are there in case I need them and the costs of a premium membership is very small compared to the personal satisfaction of helping support this site.

Many THANKS, Todd !  Bob  Guitarbg
