I would just payoff the vehicle I have now, though I would buy my brother a new car (since he does not have one).

If you win the big one buy a car that has the best safety rating. This way in the event of a horrific accident you and any passengers might have a better survival chance. Buying plastic go fast cars are cool and all but if you have a seriouse accident chances are you'll end up on a slab.

They are both cars. One is an SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) and the other is a sedan. But the X5 has been out for a few years now.  The new M5 is coming out this fall so I think he meant M5 not X5 but I could be wrong.
