the jackpots are getting too high and for people to wait until they reach $100 or $200 mill in my opinion is just assinine

how much better for more folks to share smaller jackpots so more of us can compete with the average person.

the odds do not mean much to those who win the jackpot

If the Illinois Lottery website is correct, the MM jackpot rolled to $150 million.  Come on, three more rollovers because I want to see how California will impact the rollovers once it gets over $200 million.

As reported on USA Mega, the new jackpot is $150 million, with a cash option of $93 million.

Might be on a roll. It's got two drawings left bfore it hits 200 and four to break 300 unless sales are higher than expected.

I don't see that California made any major impact in getting to $200M (annuity), and I don't think it going to make a major impact until, maybe a week from Friday. The first time through, those in California thought, because of the hype, they were going to be the winner. They soon found out that spending more monet doesn't mean a thing.

I figure it will be at the $300M+ for a week from Firday. Katrina will be history (bush will screw something else up, so the press will have a new folly), and people will be grateful that gas is now down to a little over $3.00 a gallon (people are easy - look at coffee prices).

Then the press and television can do their thing, push the dream.

                    Cheers

Well, Speaking of the storms I wasn't able to hit Georgia to buy tickets till today. Normally i buy at $100 Mill but with the previous storms in the Caribbean and gas availability the mega road trip got delayed so that a huge jackpot tempted me to make a stupid and potentially futile gesture and buy mega millions tickets via road trip.

It did help that the gas prices are somewhat lower than a few days/weeks ago so it didn't cost an arm and a leg to travel just the arm. I'm set for 10 draws so if it's ok with everyone at the post I'd like to suggest a roll over or three if possible unless of course there's a winner in Saint Mary's this evening.

One piece of off topic info, reg unleaded at exit 1 on Rte-95 was $2.54. It's $2.92 down here on the space coast.

I bought for the max (10 ) draws........

I figure that should cover what remains to this series of draws. I'm thinking I wont have to go back to the land of Sonny Perdue till maybe around Christmas for the annual end of year series run of jackpots?

Good luck to all the posters and lurkers on here tonight!
