wouldn't sort of the four digit be easier using the following?

col. E... =LARGE(A1:D1, 4)

col. F...  =LARGE(A1:D1, 3)

col. G...  =LARGE(A1:D1, 2)

col. H...  =LARGE(A1:D1, 1)


That would be great if I was restricting myself to Excel.

However, I needed a mathematical expression that could also work outside Excel for some other projects.
