The new cap is $365 million before the match 5+0 bonus pool takes effect.

However, the new record PB jackpot may fall between $340 and $365 million, in which case there is no match 5+0 bonus pool, but that increases the cap for determining when the match 5+0 bonus pool takes effect on the next great run.

It will be easier to achieve such a jackpot after Oklahoma and North Carolina join.

Yep, faster rolling jackpots.   However, Powerball might increase the matrix again after NC joins, as I've heard rumors that the addition of NC will increase the guaranteed minimum jackpot above $15 million.

I doubt Mega Millions or Powerball would change the matrix in consecutive years.

Then Powerball probably won't increase its starting jackpot either despite those rumors.
