      I don't work.

Is this because you don't want to or don't have to or can't find a job or what?

With the lottery I get all the exercise I need.

The term "desperate" was more of sarcastic term, or more a light-hearted one used to describe a dedicated lottery players 'passion' for winning, and wanting to win. However some people are indeed financially desperate, and sometimes in danger of losing even more money than they already have through the lottery.

I have overspent many times, but I do know when to stop, even though it is very difficult. It is tough to stay on a budget and sit out drawings. By doing so you are only prolonging your agony of just getting by in life. When you lose more money you are also prolonging it, and making it worse. Thus leading to the spending of more money, for more tickets, for more chances. Because you are fed up with the BS every month. Then if you do not get any paybacks, you are hurting.

Then is why I chose to create a lottery budget so that I could save up for more plays one time, as opposed to playing every draw. Only problem is I am still throwing money in each draw, as I do not want to miss even one opportunity. Even though I cannot afford it. The lottery is kinda like a poison, and does not provide much hope often. Most are in a hurry to win it, including myself, as each day that goes by you are not getting any younger. There just never seems to be enough time, or money.

I just wish I could win the thing already so I could stop spending money on it already. Or at least not as much... Once in a great while possibly, as the lottery has become a hobby for me. But I will be doing far more productive things with my money for quite sometime first.

dirtywrat..hi...no its because I'm a homemaker and yes I would like to at some point in time...but right now my husband feels its better for me to be at home as our daughter is still a little young. Call me old fashioned but I like to be there for her when she gets back from school. I feel its important.

I think these polls are full of what the horses left in the barn...

If you know your number is going to hit, have patience and then KILL IT!

You never know when you will get another hit.

              I'm Dirt Poor. Big Grin

I can't even afford the dirt.

Very cute answer!!  Well I had lots of dirt and then my neighbor's dog pooped on my lawn.

I had to sell the dirt for food and can't afford a lawn.

                Hi All,

I would appreciate help from LP members in participating in this poll. It is for my academic purposes.

                Thanks

You aren't being old fashioned at all; you're being smart. My wife stayed home with my son until he started school and then found a part time job so she could be home with him when he got home.

We really needed the money that she gave up when she quit her job and we went through some pretty tough times financially, but I think her being home for him paid off in spades. My son is now a 20 year old young man who loves the Lord and going to church and has never been in any kind of trouble whatsoever.

With the lottery I get all the exercise I need.
