You didn't mention NM Roadrunner.

It's a comp drawing.  The jackpots tend to be low, considering the buck for a ticket, and it just doesn't have much in the way of pizzazz.  I think they'd do a lot better going with two tickets for a buck and a 5+1 with a matrix similar to KS, or with a 6/25, but with tickets at two for a buck.

Just the view of one New Mexican who'd like to see it be a better game.

Jack

yeah, roadrunner does suck... it's a pc jr (or amiga) to powerball's big blue.  it just isn't big enough jackpot wise for what looks like to my untrained eye a skeletonized powerball ripoff without powerball's multiple prize levels.  i didn't know it was a computerized draw, though.  i'd drop a dollar on it when powerball was in jackpot status.  never know, right?  not anymore.

still, nm will never be indiana.  indiana is king of 'worst lottery'.  that email they sent one of the members here (korean redneck?) that was basically urging players to break the law in order to play should have sealed it.  indiana lottery would be a great way to go cold turkey for me in never playing any local game.

is there a list in the archives, somewhere with all the games which are computerized draws?  kinda like a travel advisory for those of us who visit others states, if not for the benefit of those actually living in those states.

This reminds me of something I saw on TV back around 1992. I live in DE and I was watching TV one evening around 7 pm when they flashed the winning number for PA on the screen. It was 000.  However, when I checked the paper the next day the number was something totally different than that. Then the next night (or that same day that I checked the paper), the number drawn was 000.  It was hard for me to believe that PA was taping the draws in advance.  Never could understand that one as I often see the PA draw live on TV nowadays.

too bad tivo didn't exist back then, right?

Yes, Indiana is hands down the worst lottery in the world.  Visitors to our state should avoid playing any and all Hoosier Lottery games.  (Unless of course you are visiting the state capital and you buy your tickets in Indianapolis.  All the big winners come from Indianapolis/Marion County.)  But if you do visit Indiana don't be afraid to buy Powerball tickets here.  It's the one game they can't fix.  And a little known interesting fact is that Indiana has had more Powerball winners than any other state.  Thirty-three if memory serves correctly.  And Indiana has a lot of second place Powerball winners too.

Sounds like the question should have been looking for a lottery with crediability.  None mentioned seem to be someting to raise your children around - unless your goal for your children is corruption.

Seems to be a consensus that there are a number of blotteries around people believe are the worst.

Which one it is appears to be dependent on where the person posting comes from.

I'd say an open minded approach would leave North Carolina with the worst one at the moment.  Nobody gets to play it because they're too busy trying to preemptively corrupt it on the one hand, or drop a nuke on it on the other.

They ought to be able to put it in the running for top position if they ever get it running at all

                  Missouri's Showme 5...

Computer drawn, 5/44  Eek and top prize of $50,000 max.

Our payouts for 3/5 and 4/5 pays fairly well though...3/5 can get you $25 and 4/5 can get you $750 if no one hits the top prize, if they do then the lower tier payouts drop considerably to $10 and $250.

The game still siphons for air.

45 numbers and only an avg. of $50,000 payout? Are you kidding me? Here in Florida, it's 36 numbers, with an avg. of 250 to 290 hundred thousand.

                      I voted other.....Vermin, I mean Vermont.

That's because so much of the prize pool goes to smaller prizes. The overall odds of winning a prize are about 1 in 4.

new jersey seems to have a pretty good lottery to me.......

Whats wrong with NJ Lotto?  I am no lover of the state of NJ; but their lottery is much better then I read about on the LP.  Their Cash 5 has some pretty frequent payouts, with some decent amounts.  Their Picks 6 is nothing to fight a cival war over, but it has paid out a ton of money.  Their Pick 3 & Pick 4 seems to be paying out a lot of money on a daily basis.  They used to spend a lot of time in court (do a goggle search), but they have cleaned up their act and seem to have a four or five year run of happy gamblers.  Even their scratch offs seems to be paying out good sums of money.  Ever store I go into has the cards taped every where and people line up to buy them every morning.

I am no expert, but I find nothing unusually wrong with NJ Lottery.  Other then THEY have FAILED to make me a millionaire!

                          Cheers

I don't like lot-play in Ohio because you can't pick ALL of your own numbers, only 5 of them. I don't think anyone has even won it yet.
