CD - I was doing some progressions on this with the hot 5 numbers and I have found that box hits will be the way to go. Too few straight hits to make it worth your while with the added investment. But like you, I am fascinated with this idea. South Carolina passed with flying colors over the past month using my progression.

I don't normally do straight bets except for my 255 and 748.

BTW, I just posted the numbers for Western Canada, also.  That way we can see if Amazing Grace would like to try it.

I did the same numbers I posted earlier for her and posted them for today through Saturday.

            Hi retxx,

it is easy to do it.

            12345

            Singles
            123
            124
            125
            ...
            345

            Doubles
            112
            113
            114
            115
            221
            223
            224
            225
            331
            332
            334
            335
            441
            442
            443
            445
            551
            552
            553
            554

you just take every digit and use it twice per number you make with it, along with each other digit.
            So, 5 digits means you use it 4 times (with itself) and with the 4 others. 5 X 4 = 20 --> + 10 singles= 30

With 5 digits you get 30 combinations. (35 to be precise, when you include triples... i missed MO yesterday b/c i did not do that...)

I prefer doubles as well. Triples probably arent necessary. Doubles seem to be the moneymakers since you get double the payout. Any thoughts?

paurths - what is it you use to get the hit amounts? your own software over there?

I used my software to show the digit-ranking, but then i did the counting on paper. (not writing code for something that can be done by hand in a few minutes  )

Perhaps i'll implement it, if it shows to be useful.

              Anyway, MI midday, 01/10/2006: 282  (digit 2 & 8 are ranked 6th place & 8th place)
              Result midday: 0

              Using best 3 digits: 503, 550, 005, 553, 335, 330, 003

I have spreadsheets for 4-digit, 5-digit, 6-digit, 7-digit, 8-digit and 9-digit.  I think the best way for me to do it is to just print the 5 and 6 here on the forum.

Here is the 5-digit (using numbers 1-5, so just replace the digits with the ones you want to play).

                Non-double:

                123

                124

                125

                134

                135

                145

                234

                235

                245

                345

                Doubles:

                121

                343

                131

                353

                141

                414

                151

                424

                212

                434

                232

                454

                242

                515

                252

                525

                313

                535

                323

                545

I will do the 6-digit (my favorite) next.

                        No, i also test MO.

During the week i will set up a testenvironment, so it will be just a matter of selecting a state to gather the data and backtest.

Can anyone help me with an Excel formula? What I am looking to do is create a 3-digit number from 3 1-digit numbers. This is what my spreadsheet looks like for example:

                          P1P2P33Digit#
                          139???
                          442???

What I want the B4 cell to do is write 139, and the B5 formula to be 442, etc.
