Birthday numbers are always fun to hit. I try to keep mine in, but it always seems to come out when I drop it. CONGRATULATIONS on the straight hit Todd. Good luck today.

I agree, birthday numbers are great.  However, my number is so rare in NJ (midday or evening) that it was really a stroke of luck to hit it when I happened to play.  (I have been playing Pick 3 very rarely lately.)

I like the fact that New Jersey's official site allows you to pull up the history of a number. I also like the fact that they show a payout even if it is a small payout. It kind of allows you to see the legitimacy of it's system. I enjoy going on the sites that have that. MARYLAND DOESN'T.

Congrats, Todd. It is a bummer that they use pari-mutuel payouts for the P-3 and P-4 in some states. Another rip-off for the player.

The P-3 and -4 are the only lottery games that usually pay off 50% of your odds.

The rest are rip-offs to the player. Casinos take about 8% of your money and race tracks take about 18%. The state takes a minimum of 50% of the lottery take and to make that take larger is a slap in the face to all of us who support our lotteries.

But WTG, Man! $170 is better than a box of macaroni and cheese!

Yes I like that feature as well.  When I wheeled my favorite 6 numbers in NJ Pick 4 last month, before figuring out which ones to straight, I saw that this one combo came out straight 3 times in one year.....staggering.  Anyway, played it ST/Box just before the holiday and bam, it came out ($2806.00!).

Todd - I've been following mirrors states of NJ and how they relate to Lavernes doubles (GEMS).  Based on previous experience, I think the double will show over the next 2-3 draws.  I've followed them and wound up hitting a straight hit on 566 ($296.00;  Jeezz, I love the payout of doubles).  I follow IL, NY, WI, AZ, KY, VA, and NE.

BTW - I never noticed you are from NJ?  Embarassed  And congrats on your straight win!!!!!

              Congrats on your hit Todd....

BTW, pari-mutual payouts can sometimes be low but can also be high. You just happened to be on the low side last night.

Nice job Todd, is it me or does it look like a triple is coming to NJ?
