The holder of this ticket (NOTE: That's you lucky lotto winner) agrees to participate in interviews with Lottery public relations personnel and the media and grants permission to use his/her name, photograph, comments and image in lottery sponsored advertising promotions.

Excellent news!  When does the negotiations begin.  Pat my back, I'll pat yours, etc.!  My way, or the highway!  Use it to your advantage.  Grow some of those little things!  Think: "I am the winner, I am rich."  You know how many can's of Bosten Baked Beans you can eat before the news conference? WOW - YOU COULD MAKE QUITE A STINK!  What are they going to do, say, "nasty attitude, we're taking the money back?"  Heheheheh!!  My fun would start with the drawing of my numbers, and never end.  Scratch, scratch, slobber, slobber.  I could even be tempted to wait thrity days to collect - thiry days without a shower or shave!  That would be one great news conference!  Does it say, in the fine print, I have to comb my hair?

You know, if winning a big lottery jackpot puts all this unwanted attention on you, then maybe winning the lottery is not really that great.  And taking care of all that money is not easy or fun.

America was built on a challenge, not by choosing the easy way.  A hundred million dollar deposit would not be a challenge, it would be fun!  Look in the dictionary for fun.  There is my picture, from a news conference, surrounded by beautiful women and thousand dollars bills up to my butt! Some people can tune car engines.  I can spend money.  You do what is best for you.

      Cheers

I wonder if you could do the press conference in a gorilla costume or something similar. :)

One time in a Vegas Keno lounge I saw someone win over $5,000. They checked the Keno board, checked their ticket and yelled out, "I'll pay anyone who will do it $250 right now to go cash this ticket for me."

This was in a Fremont Street casino, i.e., a lot of low level bettors hung out there. One guy jumps on the deal, the guy who really won goes with him, the streey guy signs for the ticket, the guy who really won gives him $250.

Nevada residents have the choice of paying taxes on winnings right now or the next tax season. So what the guy who won the ticket had done was set the other guy up to be responsible for the taxes.

I wonder if you could do something like that with a lottery win, get someone to pose as you, so you could tell people who would be calling you (those "long lost friends"), "Naw, wasn't me, they got the names confused."

I don't think the lottery would care one way or another.  I kinda think the state tax collector and the IRS would not be your greatest fan.  It is one thing to bounce around $5K, it is another to do this with $5M - or more.  They'd be reading the money laundrying clauses all night - inside your jail cell.

If you don't want unwanted telephone calls, throw you cell into the river/lake/ocean.  Borrow one from a neighbor, say for a $10K rental fee, and use it.  Then when they give up, get a telephone through your LLC - like other rich peoeple do.  I've already worked out a deal with a friend. She'll buy a set of NexTels in Vegas, and FedEx me one over night.  We'll use that to talk.  Again, until I get settled and have time to make permenant plans.

          Pre-Planning is the key!

          Cheers

I'd claim the jackpot as soon as I can.  I hear that u have to seek financial advice before.  But anyway, I'd just go to my bank and set up accounts and go claim.  I will welcome a big press conference and as much publicity as I can get.  Maybe I can like hire somebody to make me famous.  I want to be a household name.

I don't understand.  Why doesn't anyone want the media attention?  I'd want a whole hour on Oprah dedicated to me.  Just me, talking about my life and stuff =)

Get the attention, get your money, and use it to be a Star!

Yes, I've met Cash Only.  We've had some exchanges concerning cash and annuities.

You can look at some of them in recent posts within the last 2 days.

WHY WORRY ABOUT IT?  The odds of ANY of you winning a Lottery JACKPOT are ASTRONOMICAL.  I will make a BOLD PREDICTION:  Nobody on LotteryPost will ever win a lottery jackpot!  How is that for a REALITY CHECK???

I am posting now so I can find this thread again for reference. Boy are you going to feel like an idiot. You tell others to get a life, yet you are here yourself "wasting time." Ah love sweet irony. Just because you are never going to win any jackpot, and you are already "self-defeated" and give up easily, don't assume everyone else is just as weak, and feeble-minded as you are.

Sure the odds are tough, but that goes for everybody not just LP members. We are just a smaller group of the vast array of players out there. I look forward to proving you wrong though. I asumme after an LP member wins you will then say that was simply a coincidence, and TWO players from LP will never win, and so on...

The lottery is just like any other hobby, except it can make you a lot more rich than any other hobby ever could. Plus the lottery takes up very little storage space, especially after losses.

I wonder if you actually could claim the jackpot in a monkey suit or dressed in any Halloween costume? Bottom line, it is you in the attire, it is your signature on all documents, and your face stays anonymous to the world, how sweet would that be?
