Have you seen Robert Plant lately? OOOF....FA!

The alchohol and drugs did a number, that's for sure.

      Before:

      plant

      After:

      plant

Best male vocalist of all time, in my opinion.

these rockers do not age well....robert plant was the man back in the day.he looks like a tobacco farmer or something now, lol.besides the beatles i think led zeppelin was the most influential band ever.....

If we start a pool we won't have to spend as much.

I thought you said you always play with yourself?  You'd have to do that quite a bit to form a pool!

To get back to the original question, I always buy my own tickets.  I might belong to a pool if I could find one locally with people I trust - online games only, no instant..couldn't scratch in front of a group.

I had a bad experience with a group of women,we all would sit together and workout numbers, i'd tell them what numbers was good, they'd disagree or would'nt play, i would hit (pick 3) alot so they ended up saying i was giving them the bad numbers and i was keeping the good numbers. If i knew the number that was going to come out, i think i'd put more on the number than .50 or 1.00. Also when I stop sitting with the group and sitting at another table alone they was saying things like" she listening to us, then she gonna play our numbers". Can you believe these were grown women. So I always play by myself now, even my daddy have gave me heat about why don't i tell him what i'm gonna play so he can hit too. But he don't like to play the amount that I play sometimes. Go figure!

I like working by myself, but it's hard to start your own business. The past year has been really tough for me. So in desperation I began interviewing again and went to a company on Wed. I worked at a store last year and had a very bad experience myself. We didn't have a lottery pool, but I got stabbed in the back by a coworker. At the company on Wed, everyone seemed really nice. During the very, very long screening process we chatted a little about their activities and somehow the lottery was brought up. They said "Yes, we have a pool but new employees aren't allowed to join." Although I'm not judging them and understand they must have rules, that would be a lousy way for someone to start at a place of business. I just wouldn't feel like part of the team at all if I couldn't participate in their lottery pool. Of course, that's just my personal feeling.

Oops! All of a sudden my page refreshed and I couldn't finish my post. It's now an hour later...LOL!  Sometimes I think I'd forget about setting my clocks if it weren't for my computer.

Anyway, I have a question if anyone reads this.  What do most people do when they have a pool and new people want to join? Just curious because of what I wrote above. I understand that over time winnings are put back into the pot (which is why their pool was closed to new hires) so how can a company, club or group that has a pool make it fair & equitable if they add another member?

I can't think of anyplace where I didn't see whoever was going on a loto run didn't ask everyone if they wanted in.

The only thing I can think of is maybe the group you encountered was real optimistic about hitting a jackpot and has already set uo a trust with a lawyer.

We have a very simple rule. If you want to join, you pay your share of what is currently in the group.

For example, if the group is just starting out, then it is easy. Pay the same as everyone else.

It is different if the group won some money. If the group won say $1,000 and there are 10 people in the group, then new people have to pay $100 to join.

It is when we have a lot of money in the group that new people are hesitant to join because of the up front cost. When we have a large sum of money, then we pay out most of it and keep some to keep playing. Last year one group won over $5,000 and we paid out all of it.
