    Don't know what the results were for the 11th April 2006 mid-day maybe some one can post them so we can see if using the distrubution of the draw is better using more or less draws

      Numbers for Miday 4/11/06  21-29-33-39-44      And Evening numbers are 17-21-33-34-41        Ok now the Hot digits for Miday where from the 4/10/06 Hot/cold/overdue Are from 50 Draws  HOT DIGITS ARE=    33-42-06-20-02-08 /  COLD DIGITS ARE= 34-32-44-37-30-27/ OVERDUE DIGITS ARE= 27-37-40=24=03-11.           Have you tried the Maximum Likelihood Estimators for Binomial/Normal Distributions?.

            I have decided the distribution of a draw is not the way to go, this conclusion is after my computer ran for days calculating variants of the normal distribution against the draw distribution.

            I have however found a use for the normal distribution

            My goal now is to standardise any lottery results regardless of pick or pool.

            A reference/ranking table for any draw if you like. (1 table fits any draw)

            How to explain this one....

            Right as an example; take the Standard Distribution table of a 5/55 draw and the Standard Distribution table of a 3/9 draw, 

            Add all number totals up and divide by the amount of number totals to get the average

            Take each number and subtract the average

            Square each difference and add them all up

            Divide the sum of squares by the amount of number totals then square root the sum

            Now you have the standard deviation of the distribution

            Split the distribution graph up in to 4 standard deviations above and 4 below the mean giving 8 splits

            Do this for each distribution table

            Now we can calculate a standard score

            standard score = (sum of a draw - mean of the distribution) / standard deviation of the distribution

            Thats it

            A computer does this in milliseconds and I am trying to write in my program the ability to do this for over 200 draws entire histories and plot on one graph.

            Its a big task but I will post the draw results distribution graph when done, hopefully from this graph we should have the ultimate distribution template to use on any draw prediction rather than the full distributions of each draw with Millions of combos,

            If it works then good, if not its an interesting experiment.

            Millions and Millions of calculations later I will have a single distribution table that represents every past draw ever to have been drawn in the world.

            A comparison or ranking table for any draw.

              Sounds like you are coming to the same conclusions that others have come to before you, that is a lot of knowledge about combinations or past drawings of a lottery is of little value when predicting future winning numbers.  While I believe that's true when picking a few combinations, it is essential when picking a large group of numbers to play.  Good luck on your search.

                Some facts found so far

                In a 6/49 draw (ignoring any bonus numbers)

                There are 935,151 combinations that total 100 or less in a 6/49 distribution, this proved to be an unlikely occurrence in all draws tested

                avg 6.1% of all drawings fell in this range, ignoring this range when betting reduces the odds by nearly 1 million,

                so for every 100 draws you play it is likely 6 will be in this range. if you were able to bet 923,973 per draw this knowledge would save you a substantial amount of money over 100 draws.

                However you still have the little matter of the other 13,048,665 possible combinations to deal with.

                So lets look at the upper range and see what we can discard.

                Another 6% of draws examined fell above 204 thats 726,344 combinations with a total between 204 to 279.

                Taking both of these we then have 12% of draws that leaves still a massive 12,322,321 combinations to play with.

                So from the 13,983,813 combinations we can reduce this by 1,661,492 combinations so we are left with 12,322,321 combinations.

                Still a massive number and 1 in ten draws will be out of this range anyway
